I think that first logging truck was flashing its lights as a signal to you to say 'thank you for giving me room to pass' and no malfunction of its lights.
Always find your videos interesting Post! I wish you had better luck filming the beavers. I am glad you have great balance and don't fall in the culverts! I am also watching your adventures in the Pennsylvania tunnels right now too. Great work as always Post!
I'd love to see a time lapse trailcam like that used in a culvert when some storms are predicted, to see how the swamps respond to rain. It might even give some beavers the courage to brave the fearsome infrared lights :P (for the record, beavers cannot see infrared light, just as we cannot.)
Try turning on the recirculating air on. That should help keep some of the dust from getting in the car. We always turn it on when driving in the country at harvest time. It helps keep the corn dust from kicking up our allergies.
I was going through a hard phase in my life during May, June this year. My girlfriend was drifting apart. (she cheated on me. Later came to know.) Your videos really helped me during that dark phase. Led me to peaceful thoughts. Was able to sleep. Trying to do some positive work on my channel. Trying to help people. Need your best wishes. 😊
It's really great to see this water blasting its way through this culvert. The people are absolutely delighted at the work that you have done here, it is a great service for the community.
The beavers are camera shy maybe 😂. Or maybe they want you to talk to their agents first. You’ll need to keep trying though. Loved the video that you did get. Great video yet again. Many thanks.
I just love the way you end your videos. It's just as interesting as the "main" content. Even though the lack of beaver activity in the time lapse was a bit disappointing, it didn't diminish the quality of the video. I always love all your videos, even though I cannot completely explain to others why I enjoy them so much, but it starts with your heart. Your determination. Your love of nature. Your love of your community. The way you explain things as you do them. The way you educate us on infrastructure, nature and the way water behaves. The way you incorporate history into the dialog. The way you stress safety and cleanliness. The way you make sure you do all things legally. And the fact that you do this without financial compensation. You are truly a role model for the rest of society. I hope you never stop downloading videos for the rest of us to enjoy. Thank you for your contributions to society and to RU-vid. You stay safe out there, now, ya hear!?
I have watched you unclog so many beaver dams that every time I am out roaming around somewhere that like all I look for now. Me and the wife will be out and about and see a lot of backed up water and Ill tell her Post 10 would love this.
Nice, you captured a sandhill crane on your time lapse! Also, it's good to hear that you're bringing out a 2nd person to watch your back (if angry beavers attack! :D).
Wow Superman at work as no problem ripping it apart. When you can stand up it is much quicker and easier. Sometimes you can be lucky to see animals , beavers , otters , coyotes , rabbits , bears and maybe an alligator , birds and fishes ,deer and moose and a Human retrieving their camera. Well done m8.
This never gets old, watching you unclog a culvert, so satisfying 😊 And a nice big pipe for a change, so you could work comfortably. That undertow looked pretty strong as you were walking towards the entrance of the pipe. Awesome!
Enjoyed your videos of your western road trip. Enjoying this one, too. One suggestion, though. Judging from the green foliage here, this was done much earlier in the year. Do you think you could either put the date on the video, or just mention it at the beginning, so we can keep things straight? 6:00 There's a Build Back Better joke here...I'm not touching it, though. These guys weren't messing around......those are some heavy duty logs they've got in there.
Beaver: My lord, he's back. Lord Build-a-Dam: You can't be serious, we just moved 200 miles to make sure he wouldn't find us... Beaver: Shall we commence rebuilding? Lord Build-a-Dam: Is there a camera? Beaver: Actually yes sire, our spies indicated he put it in the culvert. Lord Build-a-Dam: Alright, notify our soldiers. Were relocating further out, we will disclose the exact waterway in a few days. Beaver: As you command. Lord Build-a-Dam: You won this time, human. But you will not win this war...
*Beavers in group therapy* Doc, I-, I-- heard a large "Woooooo-ooooo!!" then suddenly everything in the neighbourhood went dry. I think we're suffering from Post 10 ambush. He struck again. He got my beaver-uncle out east too.
I saw a heron in the time lapse too...!!! So cool to see what we would never see if it wasn't for Post Ten videos... Soooo Awesome and thanks!!! Really love your adventure videos..!❤❤👌👌👍👍
That truckie might've been flickering his headlights as a way to say 'thank you' for stopping and letting him pass!? 🙂 And the loaded logging trucks passing are giving me 'Final Destination 2' vibes! 😅
If driving on dusty road use recirculation mode only if dust thrown up in front of you. Otherwise keep recirc off and make sure fan/air-conditioning is on. This will slightly pressurise cabin and reduce the dust coming in door seals and the flow through air exhaust vents at rear of cabin/trunk.
12:43 I was down in Daytona Beach during spring break many years ago and got some great beaver clips. Boy do I miss my youth 🤣. Thanks for another great video...
I don't know, man, no beavers again! I'm beginning to think you must have another secret channel where you build "beaver dams" to fool us folks on this channel! /s
They would differently try and girdle it until it falls down. They don't go after Big Trees unless they're desperate for the branches, only if small trees are not present
Also I really enjoyed your coverage of the flooding damage around Yellowstone, I learned a lot watching that video. I know it's not quite your thing, but you seem to know your trees... would you ever make a video identifying and talking about some, maybe around a favorite forest of yours?
That's just not true about the beavers and the camera! Just in the past 2 or 3 months I have watched the work they do, on your channel. Great to see how intricate their process is and not just the final product. Fantastic creatures! Thanks for posting those overnight videos.
My best friend, when I was a kid, lived on a farmhouse by a creek near our school. We loved to head to creek after school and dam it up solely for the simple pleasure of watching the water rush by when we tore the dam down and headed for home. Watching this, I am a kid again and remember those days almost 6 decades ago.
Can imagine someone much further down the stream seeing the water now rushing & scratching their head! If they only knew😂! Glad you have someone with you for safety, this one made me nervous.
I’ve been subscribed to this channel before you even had 10k subscribers. Even though I had nothing to do with you t,just so happy to have seen this channel grow!!!
I am so impressed about the work you do, you make so good videos. And you’re channel is de only one I have the notifications on. So when I get at notification I am so happy. And the intervals are incredible. You are a busy man, so I am really impressed of have often you posts. Are you doing som special for Halloween? On this channel or one of the others you have?
You probably need to check the cabin air filter in your vehicle. It's supposed to collect the dust and prevent it from coming thru your vents in the cabin.
It does make me smile seeing your boots getting flooded so often. Why don't you wear something like Crocs instead and just let the water drain out? Do you wear boots for ankle protection? Thanks again for another interesting video Post - cheers!
Those truck drivers were probably laughing. They reminded me of those trucks in Australia's outback. Stay safe and warm. What mosquito repellent do you recommend?
That's a big culvert for a small pond. My thought that pond goes back a lot farther and is feed by a lot of water. They must of put that huge culvert in based on volume of water in ran storms and natural run off. Tom Dutkiewicz
Wonderful unclogging, sweet job, that was fast, bet you want to pore clean water over your feet and towel dry them. hope you do. my feet miss water being in Nevada. go Post 10, hit the thumbs UP people
I’ve watched a lot of your videos. Being older than you I would recommend wearing some earplugs in the culvert, I didn’t for years and now I am wishing I did.
