Saw your video and went and bought one, didnt have enough access to really hammer it on the way i wanted to but with patience i tapped it a miilion times, once it was on the bolt it came right off, also helped with some security bolts in another situation. Definitely a good tip and a good buy
Learned (had to! Run into a problem with my R1150RT trans. Filler cap) a trick from a kid that does not require purchasing expensive _like yours_extras. Just use a T-# that fits tight there. It worked for me and trust me, if I ever run across that kid he has a burger on me. He saved me headaches and time.
big question...socket set has 5 extractor sockets....where can ya buy the other 4 or 5 that will fit in the socket holes in plastic case???????...rather have the whole set...js
That looks easier than internal extractors. I have a stripped double square or Robertson screw I need to remove from an aluminum hatch frame on an RV. I'm originally from Pittsburgh and you sound a little Pittsburghese like. I've heard people from parts of Ohio sound a little like that too. Am I close?
Wish my bolt wasn’t counter sunk...it’s torx so tight a groove for flat head removal striped it as well...now it’s just a one way screw...the struggles
I need to remove a torx bolt which is with the ignition coil pack part of the Proton Savvy 2009. Is there a allen key torx tool? I really don't know how to remove it? Would kindly appreciate your help. Thanks
With a round head screw, I prefer to use my dremel and cut a slot on the head and then using a impact tool with regular screw driver head just one or two shots and the screw is loose. No need to paid for an extra tool.
Hey. So you were using a torx 40 bit on a drill? What kind of adapter did you buy? I'm trying to remove a stripped torx bolt off my Jeep Wrangler Hardtop.
The only problem is it damages the surface that you are removing it, I recommend not using this and getting the set that removes all screws instead of using a bolt removing bit.
