Learn how to remove algae from renders and external decorative finishes, read our full guide here: www.uk.weber/blog/helpful-adv...
• weber CL150 Product Page: uk.weber/weber-CL150
Algae is a natural phenomenon, not just limited to porous textured surfaces, in fact algae can grow on nearly all types of surfaces including stone, glass, metal, plastic and brickwork and can appear as red, green or black growth.
Over the past few years the warmer temperatures and prolonged damp weather has meant there has been an increase in the formation of algae growth on buildings.

Hi - What water flow would you suggest we use - 60 BAR is low pressure which is fine but if the water flow is 30 lpm it would be too much pressure still for example.
@SaintGobainWeberUK
@SaintGobainWeberUK 7 лет назад
Hi - 60 bar on a fan setting is our recommendation, the water volume shouldn't effect the pressure if set at 60 bar. thanks Weber
@Purple-rhinoCoUk
@Purple-rhinoCoUk 7 лет назад
The water flow IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING - if water flow happens to be 50 litres per min at 60 BAR it could knock a hole through the render. If the WATER FLOW is 2 litres per min - it wont be enough. The Correct method of cleaning your products would be water flow at 5 litres per min at 50 BAR using a 45 degree fan jet. Better still a SoftWash System which is designed to clean render would be a lot better. Pressure washers which can be turned up - will be by employees - who think they will work faster. If you would like to attend one of our next education open days here in Ashford, Kent please login to our website and you will receive updates. www.softwash-systems.com We would be happy to demonstrate our systems and methods to one of your problem sites, please let me know.

Can this be used on all renders? Monocouche and thincoat for example? Also after applied should the wall be covered to protect from rain or is light rain okay?many thanks
@SaintGobainWeberUK
@SaintGobainWeberUK 2 года назад
weber CL150 can be used on most masonry substrates and our thin coat renders. We would advise the product is only used when rain is not expected for the 48hours the product is on the wall. Rain could wash the product off the surface and reduce its effectiveness... if you require any further information please contact our Technical Team on technical@netweber.co.uk or call 01525 718877

I don’t have a power wash so can I simply hose the product off on a jet wash setting?
@SaintGobainWeberUK
@SaintGobainWeberUK 3 года назад
Hi Roberto, yes that would be fine wash it down with a hose to remove the algae and Weber CL150 from your facade.

@@SaintGobainWeberUK thank you very much for your reply. I’ve used another product where you apply and leave it but it’s taking to long to see results, I’m told it can take up to two months to see results but I can’t wait that long.

What about bird poo? Does CL150 remove that too?
@SaintGobainWeberUK
@SaintGobainWeberUK 6 лет назад
Hi, weber CL150 was developed for algae removal, we haven't tested on bird poo, we would recommend cleaning with a mild detergent and pressure washer on a low fan setting. You can protect your clean render with weberend protect (www.netweber.co.uk/renders-decorative-finishes/products/ancillary-products/weberend-protect.html) which will help protect the surface and avoid staining going forward...

Can it be used on silicone render
@SaintGobainWeberUK
@SaintGobainWeberUK 2 года назад
Hi George, yes it can.
@Ladosligese
@Ladosligese Год назад
so .. this works better then 50/50 bleach water solution ? .. wich imo works after 3-4 mins .. and last aprox 1 year
@SaintGobainWeberUK
@SaintGobainWeberUK Год назад
Hi @Ladosligese, weber CL150 has been specifically designed and tested for the effective removal of algae and fungal growth from the surface of Weber renders, household bleach may not be as effective on certain staining or if the bleach is too strong, it could affect the aesthetics of the rendered finish. weber CL150 is supplied ready to use and has been pre-diluted to the correct strength reducing any risk of damaging the render. In addition, the use of cleaning or decorating materials that have not been approved by Weber can invalidate any guarantees currently in place for the render system. If you require any further information please contact our Technical Team on 01525 718877 or email technical@netweber.co.uk

Surely you wouldn't be expected to manually scrub a full house
@SaintGobainWeberUK
@SaintGobainWeberUK 2 года назад
Hi, depends on your budget, size of the building and how bad any environmental growth is... you could employ a company who is set up to do it using equipment which negates scaffolding and can be done in no time at all. www.h2ocleaningservice.co.uk/

Lol, It is a joke. How long would you work with your nylon brush on my big house? :D
@SaintGobainWeberUK
@SaintGobainWeberUK День назад
Hiya, for larger jobs there are professional service companies that work with high-level equipment. This video was designed to show a homeowner using domestic equipment how to clean small areas of their house that might be prone to algae growth due to limited light (north-facing or overhanging trees). Check out www.h2ocleaningservice.co.uk/render-cleaning/ if you have a large project
@DaiHGowerWales

I dont get this. You might as well just use washing up liquid and mild bleach if you're going to scrub it manually anyway. Isn't the point of an expensive specialist product to make the job easy?
