I just went back and rewatched all the old videos of this culvert earlier this morning! Was wondering if they ever fixed it, sad to see they haven't yet
I’ll write to them again, seems that they need a monthly letter or something. But they kind of wasted their opportunity, it was something that needed to be fixed during the summer when the water wasn’t high. Right now I have no idea what they could do with all of the water in the area.
Great job David, that's a lot of water under all the canary grass. Hopefully by removing the dams you will keep it flowing away. The beavers will keep you busy. 😊💫
Wow, that was nice to watch! Well done! Too bad they haven´t fixed the culvert yet. Did you report it? Because if that culvert erodes more and more, could create a sinkhole underneath the train tracks. They will have a serious problem then.
I did report it, to the company and local agency and yet nothing has been done. I’m not sure if it’s just a bureaucracy issue or if they just completely ignored it all together. Right now with all of this water they would have an extremely hard time doing anything. So I have no idea what’s going on.
That was Very Cool David! Great job! When you started, it looked like it had been laundry day for the beavers and they went a little overboard with the detergent. lol Watching the water push away the leaves in the drainage ditch was fun. 😊
Nice work David. I know you're trying to maintain those dams but wish you'd try different areas. Different places, other than those same dams. Maybe more culverts from different locations (not by railroad tracks). Just an idea 😁
Thanks Nikki! I work in this area because it’s most convenient. In our area we don’t get the huge downpours regularly. It’s mainly just a slow and steady shower for hours. So nothing ever exciting happens. But I’ll definitely keep the idea in mind next time we get some heavy rains.
Looking more efficient everyday! My advise-check it every week as the beavers are relentless--where is that water by the railroad actually going, can you help keep it going? You get discouraged too soon --keep trying to clean out the culverts one by one--OK?
It’s an interesting area. But I am not trying to rush anything. Everything has to be done with some control because the changes produced could be harmful.
@@Wwolf655 yea that makes sense actually I thought it was air getting trapped as it fell through the leaves initially but the bubbles stayed until they were off screen made me wonder, thanks for the knowledge! :)
The water all drains into a creek that drains into a river. The removal of the dam allowed the water to flow where it’s intended, it just has to move a very long distance in order to get there.
Well, we have to take care of God’s creation. We weren’t tasked with destroying the earth but taking care of it. It just happens a few mistakes occurred in humanities part and most people are doing the opposite. Thanks for watching Elena! :)
It’s probably because it is 😅 I used Google translate for that one and with my limited experience in German it didn’t sound way off. But might be time to sharpen up on the German. 😁
@@joycetaylor1220 I guess I did make it a little complicated. Well I’m not really sure how to say what I had in mind in proper terms. I like the camera focusing on the work being done and less on me. That’s what I’m really aiming to highlight, not myself. If that makes sense.
@@smokingstrong I took a course of German in college and I’m currently using an app called “Mango” it’s definitely a lot better then doulingo, but it requires a subscription
