Exactly what I am looking for. Hit a big ass rock last week and need to level out my blades. Thanks for the quick and dirty video. Need more out there like this!
I found this video helpful, but comical. haha. Here I am in my warm garage getting ready for winter, with a bench full of tools, and this guy does it in 5 minutes with two tools. New York accent made me laugh coming from a Michigander. Thanks for the help! Now I have to put all my tools back heheh Everyone complaining about the leaves, jeeze, all the information is shown in detail. Not like you need a step-by-step video on to do this. Coming from a person that is going to drop his mower deck for the first time. UPDATE*** Everything came down smooth with the help of this video. Cheers to all!
That's as dirty as my Craftsman! Which is 10 years old now. Thanks for the video. I've got to do this to get at my blades and sharpen them. I think lowering the deck to the ground would take tension off the hangers and make it easier to reinstall. I do think I'll take a broom and hose to my dirty deck before tackling this job! :D
I just bought one of these mowers for $100. From this video, I learned NOT to take the deck off for frivolous reasons. I'm going to miss my John Deere LA130.
It sucks that my mowers older and hard to find the right parts sometimes?it took four different stops to find the deck belt ,I got a 96.5 inch belt for a 42 in.mowere so I hope it fits, all I could do was measure the broken belt up next to the new one
GOOD VID.! no fluff, to the point. Belts often do weird stuff when worn and this belt on mine is old ! May likewise have tensioner woes too have to get deck off first. The weird issue is engine stalls 'now' when I engage, or try to engage blades. Replacing both belts and hoping it is solved. Do you concur??? T Y...
