Removing Herman Miller Aeron Arms (non-destructive / no special tools)

If you have the Herman Miller Aeron chair with the little levers for raising/lowering the arms and can't get them off, I run through how I did it in this video. TLDR:
- I filmed this on my phone, so it gets cropped weird on desktop, view it on mobile!
- the LEFT side is reverse threaded, so you have to turn the bolt clockwise to loosen it (ie NOT lefty loosey)
- if it's turning endlessly, you just need to shove something hard/skinny (eg a small allen wrench) in by the lever to keep it from slipping 1:11

I can confirm this works! Just like he said. I bought a used Aeron that had loose arms. I added one washer to each side and the arms do not rattle loosely or have any give. They feel new! Also, I had to use the allen wrench to re-tighten the bolt for the arms. But great solve!!!

Thanks so much - I had to use a mallet to hammer my smallest allen wrench in but it worked!

mine were stuck with blue "glue", some WD-40 sprayed from the hole in the latching mechanism (where the tiny hex wrench is) did wonders! Thanks for the tips!
