Guys. I tried this. I used the garnier fructise “darkest brown” and it made my hair black. I’ve dyed my hair before and when doing it deeper brown the dye always came out purple when I washed it right? This time it was blue. I HARDCORE panicked because I had my engagement pictures that weekend. I tried this and it WORKED!! My hair is brown with a lot more of a copper undertone which is better than the black!! Here’s some stuff that I found: - I had to do it three times. The first time I left it in for 20 minute, the second time for half an hour, and the third time for an hour. The longest time made the most difference. - I used two different forms of vitamin C - the first were tablets that I crushed up and the second straight powder that I got from lifesource. The powder definitely worked better- the tablets made no difference at all and were way messier. - I tried doing the math to see if the dosage of vitamin C would match what she put in the video but honestly as long as the consistency was good it felt like it didn’t matter. - she’s right, it needs to be a paste. It’s grainy and can make kinda a mess. But. Worth it. - I had help the second time getting it in my hair- make sure you thoroughly paint all of your hair or you will get patchy streaks. - putting it in a plastic bag or a hair cap works- the heat your head creates helps the reaction. - it does dry your hair out quite a bit. I have pretty curly hair and so it responded a little differently than hers, but what I did was simply washed out the mixture and only used conditioner after. I bought a load of hair masks and other ingredients to do hair masks but I haven’t even used them yet because I used “hairitage” conditioner to help my hair freak out less and it was great. You couldn’t even tell my hair had been dried out. Dude. Thank you so much for this video. You saved my engagement pictures and any sense of pride I had. Didn’t turn my hair a perfect brown like I had before but girl it’s brown and not black- can’t ask for more!!!
WORKED THANK YOU!My Daughter made a mess of her hair, blackish purple mess, and was very sad she did what she did. Daddy to the research rescue! I found this video, did as the video said, and whala my babygurls hair is back to her original beautiful Red hair, and looks awesome. Thank you for sharing this video and information! Thumbs up!~John
damn girl! not only did you show how to remove the dye, but you even explained it visually from the scientific standpoint. i’m going to try it because i regret dyeing my hair very dark brown that looks almost like black
just dyed my hair a "black brown" as the box said and it came out essentially jet black and has a blue tint! so annoying lol. gonna try this as soon as i can get some of the pills
GUYS This video was so helpful and really worked for me. I dyed my hair dark purple but it came basically jet black with a slight purple tint. The next day I used this method to lighten the color and it worked. I didn’t leave it in for 15 minutes though because I didn’t want to lift ALL of the dye so I left it in for around 10 minutes and now my hair is a purple / red. This still isn’t the dark purple I was going for but it’s better than that black I had in my hair. This method really saved me thanks so much
I'm trying this stat! I too tried a box of Feria by L'Oreal that was supposed to be a blue tint but instead is black with a black tint, it's just too dark!
I did this method twice on one day old “dark brown” hair that went completely JET black and it didn’t do a thing. Any suggestions?? Also I left each mixture on for 1 hour and 15 minutes
Twenty One Tesfayes thts exactly wt happend with me ..i did a purple and looks black with tiny hints of purple light. I was sl upset ..im gping to try this
for you skeptics out there, this really does work!!!! I bleached my hair and dyed it a bright red (like Mary Jane red) then put 2 boxes of jet black hair on it 2 weeks later (I couldn’t keep up with it lol) and have had jet black in my hair for a good 4 months now and am sooo sick of it.. but I tried this method JUST last night and left it on for 4 hours, washed it out, and BOOM I now have a light light brown, almost a light tint like hers in the video. the stuff does get super messy no joke, but I only did 1 application, i’m about to do it again tonight and OOOOO i’m excited!!
Omg! Finally found someone i can share my exp with! I was a virgin with jet black hair and sadly went to the wrong salon to get my c-hairy popped! (Haha. Get it? Cherry/ chairy? ) I ended up with twice-bleached hair and then dyed to tomato red! I cried through the night, and immediately covered it up next day with home diy black dye, for a month now. But everytime i poo my hair (twice or thrice a week)i get pink bubbles. Which is weird. Dont see the black coming out, but my hair is bronzie under the sun. Im done grieving and i wanna start afresh. I want to wash all the colours out and go back to the bleached- yellow blond and maybe try a purple shampoo. So the question is: when you do this, does it slightly remove the outermost colour or does it wash out all the layers and go to blonde? Im so excited to try this.
Ugh im going through something similiar.. dyed my hair bright red it was amazing but i decided to dye it black cause my bf wanted it but i feel horrible i feel like im not myself without my red hair.. i want to try this so bas but im afraid of my hair getting damaged.. did yours get damaged?
gothickchik13 this method is way better than chemical bleaching out your hair. Although it does strip a lot of your natural moisture and oils, all you gotta do is deep condition afterwards to balance it out 😊
This works great! Thanks for sharing, I found if you use Head and Shoulders 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, versus just the regular shampoo, it really keeps the hair from drying out too much.
Global Yan hey, it’s been two hours. i need your response!!!! please tell me if it works bc i wanna due my hair but i have preexisting color :( plus i’ve seen other people try it and not work.

Yes this works.legit. you have to do it again and again until you achieve what color you want.but my hands got so dry/rashed after putting it.so i advise to have glove while applying the formula. Just to be sure :)
Hey babe, sorry to hear that :( The vitamin C didn't sting on my scalp when I had it on but it will depend on how sensitive your skin is. Salon colourants lock into the hair much stronger than the box dye in stores so I'm not sure how well this treatment will work. If you try it let me know your result! Goodluck ❤️
It worked and it stung initially but then lessened. Now I’m a dark red, close to your color but want to go brown, just dark brown but am sooo scared of my hair going black. Thank you so much for your video. It really helped me! 💝🌸💝
Serene Artist gahhhh!! I'm so happy to hear that it worked for you! Thanks for commenting back gal. I had the same situation when I wanted to go dark brown so I feel ya ❤️
I had same thing happen. I wanted darker brown than I was, changing from summer blonde to fall brown, and I came home BLACK😭. I tried this only used a few vitamin c and left on a little while. It worked a little now have some red tones, which is fine, but still not as lite brown as I was going for. Repeating it again tonight using more vitamin c and leaving it on longer. Even if I end up Carmel or Auburn anything is better than a hat everyday until it washes out.
Hey thanks for this video, it's nice seeing less invasive ways to de-colour your hair. Also the chemistry to back up this process is awesome too, it's important to know the rules before you can bend them. Its expensive to go from black to brown in a salon and not everyone has the luxury of doing so. Definitely good idea to mask after, I'm glad you added that! (Coming from a certified stylist!)
hello i’m not sure your gonna see this from your txt one year ago lol but i was wondering what kind of mask would i put ,i have 3a 3b curly hair and i recently died my hair brown but came out black and i want to do this but i’m scared it’s gonna mess up my curl pattern .Is there any mask u recommend?
Wow, the result is great! I've also dyed my hair black recently, just wanted to try it. I had red hair before. But I used L'oreal Casting Creme Gloss. I've also realized that I don't like how blue-black color looks on me, the brown-black suits me so much better. So probably I also have the yellow-toned skin or it just seems so I don't know... But I'm glad that it's non-ammonia dye and it will slowly wash out for approximately 2 months.
Yes it will! You'll end up with a nice warm brown colour from the sound of it so just wait a bit. I think the color still looks great on you from your icon photo 💓
uhm so i dyed my naturally blonde hair with the same loreal dye, i dyed it brown but it's way too dark and now i have really ugly blonde roots, do you think this will work even tought i dyed my hair about 2 months ago?
I did it again for a second time this week... first time I left it in for 30 minutes and tonight I left it on for about 2 hours and the difference is incredible. I have about 6 inches of virgin hair growth from my brown/black permanent hair dye, and have been using Demi permanent here and there. Completely removed the demi permanent because I can see all of the virgin hair growth . I have been dying my hair black for quite some time now, so it may be taking longer to come out but it’s a little lighter with reddish tones and the water was actually showing tons of dye removal with wash out. I think it depends on a couple factors as to how well it works for each person individually. So results definitely vary between people. Keep going at it. ❤️
I have vitamin c in my hair right now and my dye is the same as yours was, I really hope it works on mine as well as it did on yours! also, both colors look very beautiful on you, I'm glad it worked so well on yours though and that you're happy with the result
You look better in this brown-ish color :) See, the reason why I wanna do this is because I got tired of my hair being pitch black. I dyed them several times and now I'm just done. I'm gonna do it tomorrow, so wish me luck. ;) I'm just gonna skip my dark brown, natural roots.
If you want to do this for cheaper you can find Citric acid (vitamin C) powder in the canning supplies section of your grocery store/hardware store And you don’t have to crush up the pills too
If you do this i recommend oiling your hair first. Yes, you will have to leave the mixture in your hair a little longer but adding oil before you do this will help with some of the dryness. Still deep condition after this process though. Cause your hair is gonna be dry.
I love the fact that you explained how and why it works. I searched so many videos on how to use the vitamin C and clarifying shampoo method, but yours was so logical and well thought out. Thank you so much for going into detail!!
OMG!! Thank you sooooo much. I dyed my hair without thinking and I hated it sooooo much. For reference my natural hair is a light/dirty blonde and I dyed it dark brown. Totally didn’t match my skin tone and I was freaking out cuz it was permanent. I tried this and now my hair is almost back to my original hair color. Just a few shades darker and a bit red but it looks soooo much better than before!!
IT WORKED!! I'd just freshly dyed my hair black yesterday and didn't like it as it was too dark for me. So I decided to try this method and it magical worked! Thank you so much for this video! ❤️
Yo this worked!! I accidentally dyed my (usually dark brown hair) jet black yesterday while trying to cover my leftover bleached spots and it was a low-key disaster, my hair looked like a bad wig. To those nervous about this method (like I was), I'd recommend testing it on a little strand first and then check every 10 minutes when doing the real thing, to control the color. Thanks for the breakdown sis! FYI: Only used 3500mg of vitamin C with Head&Shoulders Anti-dandruff since I have short hair.
I dyed 1 strand of my hair pink recently, and impulsively dyed that piece back to my natural color, but the strand turned out way too dark. I’m excited to try this!
My hair was dyed black (permanent) 1 year ago. I tried this out for a month (2 times a week) but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. My hair is still black, probably because my dye job is older. My hair was also left very dry, but I used a hair mask and it brought it back to life. Probably going to try a colour remover next, by colorfix. :)
This worked! I ordered 5000 mg vitamin c powder from Amazon to make a stronger mixture. I dyed my hair a dark brown two weeks ago and it unexpectedly had a heavy red tint that looked awful. It's now a lighter brown with no red and I'll probably do one more treatment to remove the rest of the box dye.
Did not work for me like at all :( Used 200 tablets , 500 mg, leave it for almost half an hour, I've got rally long hair so duble up the amount of shampoo ( used green apple head and shoulders). Last time I dyied for black my hair was 9 weeks ago but I doing them constantly black for 10 years, any thoughts how to change the proportion to get it work ?
Anna Maćkowska I think it isn’t working because the hair has been dyed for so many years ☹️ The effectiveness of this method depends on how porous your hair is. You can try it again by leaving it in longer, say 45min - 1hr but if that doesn’t work still you may have to go to the salon to have ten colour lifted out. Hope this helps ❤️
I've dyed my hair blue black about 3 times with permanent dye. The last time i dyed my hair was about three months ago. I decided to give this a shot considering I was getting tired of the colour. I've tried it once left it in for about an hour and it faded the colour, and I can see the brown peaking through I'm going to give it a few more shots. Thank you so much!
hey so when doing this does it bleach your hair or bring it back to your natural color. Also did it work cause I have red hair and considering getting my natural brown hair back.
@@Sallyraee It definitely helped get the natural colour back. Didn't bleach it, seemed to break down the dye to show your natural colour. I had blue black hair back then and did it a few times and you could see a difference, think it was a little more difficult cause of the black hair but it did help get it where I wanted it.
Brandi M, uhhh 😅 Im not to sure on that one lol - but maybe Try to keep it in the whole day? And if it doesn’t work then do a whole day and then In the next 2 weeks try again? X
Hi Lisa, thanks for the video, your explanation is great. I have a question, I want to stop dying my hair and let my gray hair been seen, but now they are just visible one inch from my roots and my demarcation line looks bad, so.. do you think if I do this process, it will remove the dye and my gray hair will be visible from roots to ends? Thank you
Diana Loya hello! Yes it should remove the pigments enough so that the demarcation isn’t so strong. The results will depend on how porous your hair is though. Also, make sure you deep condition afterwards ❤️ goodluck
This works! My natural color is a dirty blonde. I dyed my hair a deep burgundy brown color and got bored with it after a while. After doing this process my hair went pretty much back to my natural color.
WHY THE F*** DID MY LIGHT BROWN HAIR COLOR COME OUT BLACK I literally bleached my hair to remove the black prior for it to be black again 😭 I will try this because I am so sad and disappointed 😭
This works but it does so much damage to your hair unfortunately 😪 y’all be careful bc it can leave your hair the same way when you over-bleach it and your hair thins out
it doesn't do as much damage as bleach. the only damage it does is to dry out your hair. but if you use oils (castor, olive, coconut) and conditioner to keep your hair moisturised and you dont over do this, your hair wont be damaged at all and it should be fine :)
Nomixiu What if I didn’t bleach my hair? I just dyed it for the first time a metallic blue which turned out black and didn’t like. Will this damage my hair?
jairi anaya I don’t think it will. Just make sure you use a good conditioner after to fix the dryness. If you haven’t bleached your hair it should be in pretty good condition and be fine
i have been dying my hair black for a little under a year and i want to dye it pink but i don’t want to do 2 rounds of bleach and ruin my hair, will be back in a few hours with results!! update: this definitely works!! it worked on my hair but not as well as i was hoping bc silly me, i forgot to put a bag over it 😂 but thank you! definitely won’t have to damage my hair with 2 rounds of bleach :))
I will definitely try this, the one thing I'd like to suggest is going to a health food/whole food store and buying a packet of ascorbic acid, which is pure Vitamin C, in powder form so it will save you having to grind up the tablets. So I'll try the powder and let you know.
Hey! It’s worth a shot IMO ☺️ if you follow the exact amounts in the vid, the best result would be to have a colour close to your blonde again. If you don’t want to remove as much colour you can try less vitamin C pills. 25% less I would say. Goodluck !!
Wow this really works. I was originally going for a burgandy & the color came out basically black with a slight reddish hue. I used the same vitamin C she had, mixed with head and shoulders... left it on for about 30 mins and my hair is pretty much back to what it was! The paste is very dry and not easily spreadable, so I recommend adding a splash of water to the mix. Damp hair and putting the paste on in sections will also help you get an even application. Thank you so much for this video!!
My original untouched hair was dark brown to soft black. I did balayage. Then, i felt the highlights are too orangey after some time and decided to tone it with medium brown(5.0). It turned out almost black, way darker than my natural hair and I am unhappy. I need to remove this almost black dye before i can go like 7.1. Was thinking about colour remover, but hesitating of the damage. Glad i found out about vit C. Will try this in a few days.I hope it will work.
It works wonder in 1 go. I did it today. I crushed 80 tablets of 1000 mg vitamin c in a blender. Then, mix the vitamin c power with head&shoulder. I appiled on damp hair. Wrapped with plastic wrap.Left it for 2 hrs. Washed and i could see colour coming out from the rinse. My hair goes visibly 2-3 shades lighter from almost black to medium/light brown.(The previous highlights didn't go completley but i'm happy with brown. Might redo another session tomorrow.
I did this yesterday but with my ordinary shampoo (because why not? I didn't want to go to the store 😂) and it worked so well! I'm shocked! Also I used the vitamin c that comes in like a fizzy tablet that you put in water, like 4 of those. I let it sit for like an hour. My scalp is a teeeny weeny bit itchy today but barely noticeable. I just put on a hair mask afterwards and my hair feels like normal now! Mind you it was also very damaged before, but I don't feel like it got worse or anything 👍
It should work to a certain degree! It depends on how porous your hair is now but it should remove and lighten some of the colour. Give it a try and lmk the results guys!! ❤️
This works great and for the dryness she was talking about use Pantene intense rescue shots. My hair was black when it was suppose to be blue my hair is brown now. I was amazed.
yay it worked!!! i only did it once on my box dyed hair (black) and it stripped a lot of the color out and left it a nice chocolatey brown with natural reddish tones. never going to dye my hair black again 🤦🏽♀️ gonna try this two more times to really get the black dye out. thanks!!
I tried this with vitamin C pills not knowing that I got the orange chewy pills. I don’t know if it’s gonna work now because they’re not the white ones but I’m gonna try. Update: it definitely didn’t work because I think it was orange so maybe that’s why but I will try again
I wonder why it didn’t work on me :’( I use 500mg Vitamin C tablets and dandruff shampoo, and I left it for an hour. Didn’t notice any change. Still jet black
This seems like a good method and I’m definitely going to try it, but I have a question. Does it leave your hair patchy or not? Or does it depend on how you apply it?
I tried this 3 times but my hairs long thick and dye over dye. Although it came up a little lighter not much. I think if you're hairs over processed with colour it doesn't work unfortunately. It was messy and it dried hard it was horrible. Im 54 and wanted to just go grey because im needing to do the roots every 5 weeks it's to much.
Love that you actually explained the process of how it works. This seems to be a common issue with the dye you used. I did the same (same dye color and all) and I’m am not impressed, I did totally saturate my hair and it still looks patchy to me. Plus now that the warmer weather is coming where I live, I’m ready for lighter hair so I’m going to give this a shot to see if it will pull some of the dark out.
Will this method still work if I’ve left my permanent black hair dye on for 4 years? Because I also shaved my head 2 years ago thinking I was gonna go back to my light brown natural hair colour & it’s still a permanent black & every time I see black strands I pull them out and when my mom catches me doing it she calls me mental... i want my natural hair colour back so bad, it’s depressing... 😭
Exotic Nuub if it’s growing black even after you shaved your head that would be your natural pigments of your hair and no, the method won’t work. Hope this helps! ☺️
You should. Maybe warn people of the possible side effects of this treatment and/or types of hair that shouldn’t use this treatment : redness or inflammation on your scalp scalp dryness hair that’s dry and prone to breakage hair strands that appear yellowed or orange-tinted hair that’s inconsistently colored or tinted Not every one will get the same results. I am a licensed cosmetologist. The display was decent but this is not for all hair types. Also any clarifying shampoo will work. No vitamin c with any dyes in it or shampoo with color in it. It can deposit a different color if there are any dyes in the shampoo or vitamin c. Good research but not Thorough enough
what if I had natural hair but then had a bad highlight job done to it, then used boxed permanent hair dye to make it all back to its “normal” hair color? I’m trying to take out the permanent hair dye now because it came out too black
I used a permanent dye, one to two shades too dark. By coincidence I washed with Head and Shoulders, not knowing anything other than it wasn't an 'approved for dyed hair' type of shampoo...So happy to see H&S is what you used too...Today, I will add the vitamin C to it and hopefully get the auburn shade I was after in the first place. Thank you for this informative video. (And for SHOWING the items and the how to...not just being a 'talking head'.)
I did this method twice already and only the top part is getting lighter. :( It still leaves some patchy black parts. What should I do? I really want to remove this black from my hair.
Roachele Ramos maybe try one more time with more vitamin C and leave it in longer. Are you using 200 tablets of crushed pills? The results depend on the porosity of your hair. You can also leave it in longer too. Make sure your hair is damp when you’re applying the mixture and that it’s evenly distributed. If it still doesn’t work you may have to go to the salon to remove it. Goodluck and make sure you deep condition afterwards ☺️
THANK YOU SO MUCH! IT DID WORK Backstory: I dyed my hair black by accident, cause I wanted to go back to my brunette natural color, after one year of dyeing my hair ginger. Si I bought the color brunette from garner and it turned black! My Recipe: I used a Head and Shoulder shampoo with a lemon in it lol and i added 30 capsules of vitamin c of 500 mg each and i left it in my hair for 1 hour and a half.
It worked for me! There is no black anymore, but I got a brown reddish tone, and with the sun looks like orange, I think this is because the black have a red subtone, but I don’t really understand why happened, anyway, the black is out, that’s the important thing 😁
Didn't really work for me :( To be fair, I've been dyeing my hair black for over a year, so that's a lot of buildup. I'm trying to fade/lift the black a little so I can dye it a plum violet color - I tried this method and it faded a little, but it looks kinda patchy and my roots turned a greenish color (my natural color is light brown). I tried to avoid putting this mixture on my roots but it was kind of hard not to. I'll probably just go ahead and dye it the plum color with 20vol developer and see how it turns out. But I'm a little worried about how my roots will look dyeing plum over greenish brown.
yes, the results depend on how porous your hair is. You can either try again and add more tablets + letting it sit in your hair longer. I'm not too sure how the results will come back if you just go ahead and dye it plum but there will be a difference in colour turnout between your roots and the darker parts of the hair. Goodluck babe
Hey! I am so happy that I came across this video. I am definitely going to try this! Every salon is such a disappointment when it comes to lightening your hair or even stripping the box dye out! I used to box dye my hair previous to this -> I dyed my hair to a caramel blonde (bleached) back in Jan, and I hated it so I used box dye every other month to go back to dark brown. But I am getting sick of this color. If I do this technique, will I go back to the caramel blonde or back to my original hair color? Thanks xx
So in march I dyed my hair a mid brown color and it came out really dark for me so i dyed it again with blonde hair dye BUT it's still not the same color has my natural hair color so i'm wanting the get all the hair dye out. since i have 2 layers of hair dye on, will it still work?
XxMochaBearxX this will depend on the porosity of your hair. I haven’t had someone comment a similar situation to yours so if you decide to try this to give it a shot please let me know the result ☺️ I predict it should work to a certain degree. This method is way less damaging then chemical bleach so feel free to give it a shot. Just remember to deep condition ☺️
Can someone help! I tried to dye my hair dark brown and it’s went black. I’ve tried to use this method but my hair is still just as dark as before - I used 20 crushed 1000mg vitamin C tablets, blended them in a blender and mixed in a bowl with head and shoulders shampoo. Then applied the paste, put hair in a bun and wrapped my hair in tinfoil and left for an hour. Please help!!
It should work to lighten it, yes. I haven't personally tried it so I'm not sure exactly how it will turn out but if you do try it, comment back and share with all of us! So instead of using the amount I used in the video I would suggest using only 5-10 crushed vitamin C tablets at first to see how that goes. Then add more (the next time you wash your hair) after you've seen how much colour pigments it neutralizes. Make sure you thoroughly work the mixture evenly in your hair or else it may come out patchy! Goodluck babe!
omg so it still looks super dark :( but just lighter in some places. i don't wanna keep putting the stuff in my hair. i left it in my hair for about an hour. soooo yeah didn't really work for me :p
I tried this and it didn’t really work, BUT that’s because I used dissolvable vitamin C and the mixture turned into more of a foam so I guess it didn’t really penetrate the hair follicles properly. I will try it again with normal 1000mg VC and leave it on for a couple hours. Wish me luck! 🤞🏻
Alice Sherrod it took me one day to remove most of the black pigmentation so it should be similar for you too! The result will depend on the porosity of your hair though so I recommend trying this as soon as you can. That way you have time for plan B if this doesn't work out but I think it should 😊 goodluck and keep me updated if you can! Also leave it in your hair longer, say 45 min.
just_ potato I’ve had commenters say they’ve lifted dye out from even a few years ago so give it a shot ☺️ how much lifted will depend on the porosity of your hair! Goodluck ❤️
I looooved hair black too. You looked like a girl from Korean dramas. You can def pull it off if you wanted. However I’m lightening mine too. I want a change
I had lovely browny hair with highlights , and then gone and dyed my hair black demi permanent dye, wanna so try this but dont wanna damage my hair as my hair pretty dry n will go drier... but miss my old colour so badly .....
I had black blue Feria in my hair. My hair is naturally dark brown. How many times did you have to do this Vitamin C/Clarifying treatment before it got your hair the color that it is? Thanks for your video!
i used feria to dye my hair rose gold and it turned purple for some reason???? its like someone took the dye from the purple box and put it in mine. im so pissed off
I did this last year and it worked which I was so happy for and for some reason I recently dyed my hair black again so I’m coming back to this video to remember how to take it out lmao
I recently dyed my hair with the Vidal Sassoon Midnite Muse Blue about a month ago. The color made my hair dark black n barely any blue highlights. After researching how to take this color out without bleaching my hair, I'm so happy I found this video. So I will be doing this to my hair today. Wish me luck and I will let you know if it worked . Including my process
Omg! This work's! Ok so here is what I did step by step. Fyi, before I had dyed my hair the Midnite Muse Blue, my hair color was very similar to hers but I had more of a reddish brown also. Only due to the years of dying my hair red, burgundy and caramel blonde highlights. Basically it was fading out. I purchased from the store Rexall Vitamin C 500mg 200 tablets. It was the cheapest in the store. My hair already had olive oil and coconut oil sheen it. I used Head and Shoulders 2in1 Shampoo and conditioner with almond oil. Which is my normal shampoo plus it's what she suggest to use. 1. Use a hair dye application brush and gloves. It will be a sticky and crumbly mixture. Almost like a cake or brownie batter that wasn't mixed all the way. The brush makes it easier to apply in your hair. 2. Section hair in 4 sections and apply to damp hair in small sections. The damp hair will make it easier to apply and the product will work better. 3. Put a clear shower cap on your head because it may be messy. Also, you can see it working in minutes. Like when your dye your hair. 4. My experience is I kept it my hair for 1 hour after I made sure that my hair was saturated. 5. Rinse out 3 times and wash your hair with your normal shampoo at least twice to make sure all of the product is out. 6. Conditioner your hair and leave in for 5 to 10 minutes or overnite, because your hair will be dry. 7. I suggest after you rinse out your conditioner, use a detangler and a leave in conditioner and don't rinse it out. 8. Style your hair as normal . My hair color is now a medium chestnut brown/reddish color. I Love It. Not only did it take out the Midnight Muse Blue hair dye but also some of the old red hair dye that was in my hair also. My scalp didn't sting nor did this have any type of negative effects on my hair. Good luck ! P.S. I would not suggest doing this to your hair if your hair is damaged already. For example chemical, over processed and heat damaged. Or if your hair is prone to shed a lot, extensive breakage and suffer from any hair loss.
Lisa Ying Thank you so much ! I did post my results in detail ... I will be looking forward for your skin care videos if you have any and which kind and where to get them
Someone please help me,I need to know what to do at the salon or at home. I box dyed my hair about 4 times, and I use to have light brown ashy brown,so I died it the wrong color which turned to dark brown, then I died it again, and again and it made my hair a weird orange and red dark brassy hair and I hate it sooo much and hate myself someone please help me what to do. Those dyes were suppose to be washable after a few weeks but I dyed it soo many times I think it faded into my hair and it’s kinda permanent my roots are taking forever to grow out and I rlly can’t live with my hair like this pls. It would rlly mean a lot.
Kristie Y if you dyed it dark then tried to go light again you probably bleached your hair and that’s why it got brassy. Right now if you use my technique you’ll probably remove the red pigments in your hair (actually it will depend on what colour your hair is currently) but your resulting colour will probably be the brass. What I would do is try a round of this method in my video first to remove the colour pigments and will probably yield the brassy orange. Then go to the salon and colour it to the colour you actually want. Hope this helps girly ❤️
@@LisaYing Thanksss soo much for replying. I tried the vitmain c method i feel like it just dries up my hair,im just gonna try to find a salon that can ACTUALLY match the perfect color to my roots to remove the red,its the red tint that i hate on my now potentail dark brown hair that i dont like. Not sure whats a good salon tho.
