Removing the background from an image is essential to building composite images. In this Photopea Tutorial, we'll take a look at how to remove the background from a simple shape, and a more difficult one.
We'll see how to make a background transparent with the magic wand tool on easier shapes, and how to use the refine edge tool to make a much more precise selection. We'll cover how to use a raster mask, a non-destructive way to remove the background from an image.

Hi, and thanks for the video. I have an unrelated Photopea question which I hope you'll be kind enough to answer for me, as I can't find the information I need anywhere. I'm used to Photoshop, but I can't afford having it anymore. Now, when using the Liquify tool in PS, there's a function that lets you block parts of the image from being affected when you make changes. I keep needing that function in PP, but I can't find it. How to do it?

Using the refine edge tool, how do you adjust the selection you are selecting? You didn't say what button you was holding down to adjust the selection.

Hello, I use the paint can contiguous option to remove a certain color at once, but I upload many images and I have to save the images one by one in photopea, do you know of any program to save all the images at once?

There is an API for Photopea, and you can do batch processing. I've never used it so I'm not sure how it works though. If it doesn't work, I believe Pixlr can do it.

Make sure you're saving it as a .png, so it will retain the transparency.

My version of photopea must be different I can't get as close to the Apple, and when I add roster mask the damn Apple disappeared but the background stayed. I really don't like this program, you make it seem easy I'm following you step by step and I feel like I have a free version and you must have a paid version or something. I'm really frustrated with this.
