I really appreciate the care which you take to remove something for someone else to utilize. In this throwaway era, we are often quick to waste resources because we can afford the cost. It reminds me of my Depression era grandparents who were careful and frugal. They knew what it was to go without and hated waste. I think we should all be more mindful.
It’s true! Creating less waste and reusing everything is the beat choice when we have just enough ability, time, and space to put into it. I have been much better lately about putting things to good use quickly (or giving it to someone who will) instead of just saving junk because “it might be useful”.
Maybe your friends, who got the bunny shed, would allow you to film at their place, so we could see it in its new home. I'm just curious, and I love that the shed is getting a second life! The guys were so careful when moving that shed it was fun to watch! Thanks for sharing. ~Margie
WOW.... i'm just fascinated by the combination of old technology and new technology.... and really knowing what you're doing!!! happy trails to its new home!! :)
Longtime subscriber, Architect, and avid Recycler. Super impressed by the crew - quick, mindful, and hard working. Happy to follow your progress! Ashley/Rhode Island.
It is weird I am so excited about the new garden look, but also feel a bit sad about the changes, but I am sure I will get over it fast when that beautiful greenhouse is built. What fun it is going to be to see what you do!
A Shout Out To, 'The Man Wearing An Orange Top w/vest' ... Great Expertise ! As Well As ... Chris, Paul, Aaron In Assisting. Awesome Team Work, From The Four Of You Guys ! You Make It Look Easy.
It’s crazy how Laura started out making summer annual arrangements in pots to put on her door step and now she’s “got people” like a tree guy and a handy guy and an electrician, sooo cool and still can’t get over it
Wow! That was such a job. Completely had me holding my breath & heavy sigh when they drove off. Such professionals, off the ground, over the bricks & perfectly through the opening of the fence! So excited to see all the spaces being filled up as you accomplish each project. I'm permanently hooked! Lol
Wow!! That was really impressive! I love how they took the time to care for the grass. No doubt projects like that can take a toll on your yard, but it looks like they definitely tried their best. ❤️ That space is so bare now! I am so curious what’s actually under that brick! I’d love to come help!!
Cool to see how they did it ! I had to laugh. This is all the doings of 2 women! One with a new vision and one who wanted a bunny house ! Good job ladies 😄⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thanks for showing the process! It wasn't quite as involved as I expected but a lot more than I would want to tackle! The men had a good plan so looks like it went pretty well. Love that you don't just tear things out and throw them away but give someone else the opportunity to enjoy them! 👍❤️☺️
I watch all of your videos, you become my daily routine, Garden Answer in evening, something to relax with after long day but your hardscaping videos are my favourite, when you do big things in your garden. So much to looking forward in spring to come and in years to come in developing new part of your property 😊
I love watching structures being moved. I remember years ago being part of a barn move. It was such a process and it was awesome to do. Your space will look awesome with a clear view to the girls.
That tool shed used to be one of my favorite projects, especially the first few years you were there. You made it really cute by painting it to match your house, putting up wreaths and planting beautiful window baskets. The back of it gave the pallet walkway some of its closed in, magical feeling. One side was part of the shaded, wooded area by the pine trees and the sunny side backed up a large metal container that you always made up to look so amazing, especially for a metal container! I always really liked that shed and what you did with it made me want something like it! However, I live in a rural area and I have seen plenty of random sheds in people's barnyards and such. Taking it out and seeing what you do in its place is going to be really fun. Just have to say that, as usual, you made the absolute most out of what you had with that tool shed. It's your Midas Touch showing up again. 💜❤️💜 Have a great day!
Wow that was impressive. Does Benjamin love watching stuff like that? I just love the way you guys always offer things you’ll no longer use to others when possible. Very cool!
Oh Laura...that was hard to watch. Not because the shed was taken away but digging where you had beautiful plants and stomping around the area as well. Moving the shed is a good call. I know improvements are on the way. You’re talents are endless.
Thank you for sharing the details of big jobs like moving a tool shed. I would never have thought that possible. You just exponentially increased the world’s ability to repurpose usable things.
They make it look so easy! Maybe I need to look around Craig’s List more often and find myself an old shed to move because I think I can do it now😉🤷♀️
If you find a shed you like, get ahold of the business, that does the rent to own sheds. Usually they will move it for two hundred dollars or so depending upon mileage.
So reminiscent watching you move the shed, my grandfather did the same thing (a lot more jack’s lol) with their 2 story A frame house. This was after he dug out a basement to put the house on top of, because originally my grandma didn’t want a basement...... but after the first year of being in the house she changed her mind LOL!! It still makes my heart warm and also amazes my the strength of their love that he did all that for her. Knowing full well that it was not their permanent house, they were in the process of building their forever home just a few hundred yards away from the A frame 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hated to see the original tool shed go but can difinately see your dreams of expansion and making it your own.... (quite phenomenal I might add) quickly coming true. A testimony to the saying "You shall reap what you sow" I think you and Erin should have that sign somewhere in the barn! Congratulations on your newest family member Samantha Grace... PRECIOUS❣️
I am going to miss the shed I thought it was real cute the way Laura had it, I'm glad someone else gets to use it. Look forward to seeing what Laura does with the area.
WOW!!! What great details they gave to 'save & move' ---- where there is a will - there is a way! Great job! Amazed to see the ground that this shed was sitting on....Amazing....now it feels great and freeing! Congrats on the vision! (would make a great place for Benjamin to play in the mud --- Good Times! - I made mud pies...LOL) **** 3 videos today - what a great Blessing ****
Wow! The first property I owned was in rural NC. The 82-year old man who had lived there all his life told me about how they moved the original log cabin a good 200 yards with "one man and a mule," using logs as rollers. Thanks for providing a visual for me after all these years.
This was fascinating! The patience and ingenuity was brilliant! Wouldnt it be so cool to put together some of the drone footage of the property and all its changes?? Almost like a time lapse video?! I would love to see that!
I’m not going to lie I was a bit nervous & completely surprised that it held together as well as it did!😬 Can’t wait to see how you’re going to transform that area.🤩
I always wonder how structures don’t have the walls implode on itself when there’s so much vibration and shaking in the move. It must be such a breath of fresh air for Laura! A nice start to a new year with the newly expanded family!
Great job, guys! I watched the video on my tablet first, then I watched it on my wide screen. I love seeing stuff like this! This year on Garden Answer is going to be so exciting.
Kind of bittersweet isn’t it? So hard to watch things being deconstructed but very excited to see the new gardens you will build. I’m so glad you repurposed and didn’t just toss it to a landfill. Thank you for that.
Can’t wait to see the transformation! So many exciting things! I thought last year was huge with all the major projects! But this year started with a new baby and tree and shed removal and we’re in the coldest part of the year still!
bye bye shed! Fascinating to see that done. Can't wait until all the old bricks are gone and circle is removed. Never minded it before. But now...all you can notice.
I'm glad your donating things you no longer use, this shows how much character you guys have. You also acknowledged a new youtuber that sent you a gift (2 acres Evolving) and because of you his channel is growing and I know he is so appreciative. Anyone who hasn't checked him out please do, we need to support our gardening community!! I love watching all you guys..
They are such considerate friends!! Taking their time and leaving your property with minimal damage - if any. Excellent!! Can’t wait to see how this looks without the shed there 😊
Little sad to see the cute little she’d go......but the lady excitement for-the new owners and for you in the rearranging of the property. Tool shed held up extremely well. Great moving crew and camera angels!
Dang that is a lot of work!!! Good for you preserving that history. I recently had a several thousand lb tornado shelter installed in my garage. They did all the moving rolling on steel pipes. Amazing how that works!
I would love to see that beautiful old shed pulling up into my drive! I have no garage and I'm currently storing whatever gardening supplies I can jamb into a 2 x 6 plastic shed that doesn't close all the way 🙄. Way to go moving that cool old shed instead of tearing it down!
That was a job, gives a whole new appreciation when you see a old house being moved to a new location!!! This is a wonderful new space for your ‘new’ garden concepts 👍 !!
Just wondering if that shed was built from old growth wood. It doesn’t rot like the wood we use today. Judging from the move, it looks like a very strong quality and the new owner has a great treasure. Thank you for being so generous.
Thank you for showing us the process. I enjoy watching it even without you explaining the whole thing. Pls show us the process of installing your greenhouse day by day. I can’t afford it but would love to see it anyway.
Can I be honest. I am having anxiety because of the change. That is how I know I really see you and yours as my family. I am so excited for you to have one of your Bucket List Dreams come True. You are a wonderful person. You are married to a wonderful man. And you have the two cutest and sweetest babies. Thank you so very much for letting us into your life and taking us along for the ride.
