Why is it horrifying? Nothing should horrify you in nature... Don't forget, you're a human like me. We're terrorists to mother nature, we're the most horrific thing out there... Have you seen what we've done to -wolves- dogs?
Did you know that caterpillars don’t just sprout wings and boom butterfly they Actually turn into a soupy liquid and turn into a butterfly and they STILL have their old memories as a caterpillar
@@iinternet7 In an experiment to see if butterflies retain memories from the caterpillar stage, researchers exposed caterpillars to a certain odour and were then immediately given a small electric shock so that they'd associate the shock with the odour and move away. The research shows that butterflies can retain that association.
I NEVER KNEW the chrysalis formed from INSIDE the caterpillar! I thought it formed on the outside! Thank you for sharing this! Still learning at 63 yrs old. 😊👍🏼
When it peeled its skin off, I freaked out. I am 44, and I have always assumed they somehow wove the cocoon like a spider web. Thinking about it now, that doesn’t make sense, but this is way more terrifying than I ever imagined.
Fun Fact: inside the cacoon, caterpillers literally turn into a soup of blood, skin, and other cells. They legit become soup for a few weeks and then pop out with a completely different body. And an even wierder fact is they still retain their memories depsite being literal chemical soup for like 3 weeks. Fascinating.
Yo la he vivido. Tuve un criadero natural en mí terraza. Fue lo más maravilloso que he vivido. Ver esos puntos tan pequeñitos ver cómo crecían día a día! eran tantas!!! Hermosas! Hermosas!! Gracias!!
I love monarch butterflies. People can actually buy them and grow and release them. I bought a butterfly kit of 25 caterpillars when I was younger and all 25 transformed into beautiful butterflies and I released them. 😊
@@abdullaholaeji3659that great God is the one who created this to be and if not God then who and don't say it's something that doesn't have a mind to create this because that would be crazy to say
@@Mistner I can except evolution as a process but not as a Origin of everything being created because if evolution of how you believe it then you can't be mad at any evil that happens to you or anyone you have to except it as it just happens because from your point of view there's no moral giver it's we make our own morals
I remember in 3rd grade, our teacher got some milkweed from the side of the road, bright it on, put it in a fish tank, and we watched the monarch from egg to butterfly. It was great. I hope they still do this
@@goyonman9655 no, it's their trachea system which allowes them incredible oxygen diffusion rates, which is also helped by their flight muscles. a higher oxygen diffusion means a better oxygenation of the cells, leading to a great boost in endurance. edit: their migration is also generational, meaning that they don't make it to the destination as individuals, but their offsprings do. also, they use air currents to save energy.
Actually "raised" 3 of these last summer after collecting the tiny eggs off milkweed plants. All three morphed into beautiful colored Monarch butterflies. Take patience and care to make sure they survive up to and through the cocoon stage to adulthood..
Quran 22:73 O people, an example is presented, so listen to it. Indeed, those you invoke besides Allah will never create [as much as] a fly, even if they gathered together for that purpose. @@scorpion7434let me guess, you believe that a magic man in the sky made everything like 5 thousand years ago and everyone should believe in him or they are going to burn in hell?
@@shadow8839 The caterpillar breaks down on a cellular level and completely rebuilds its body. It would be like if a human went through this, all our bones and organs would turn to liquid so that our cells could make new ones.
That is absolutely incredible…. I heard there was a study done and apparently even though caterpillars completely undergo a entire physiological change (soupify) they emerge as butterflies still retaining their memories from before metamorphosis. I always thought that study was so intriguing. 😮
You do know that you are also nature, right. Humans are another branch of nature. We are not separate like we are raised to believe. We are all creatures on this beautiful earth fighting to survive
If things like this exist on earth imagine how amazing and diverse life on distant planets are its beyond our imagination really the possibilities are endless
Found a big moth cocoon out on my porch the other day and I'm just kinda checking in every now and then. Watching the transition from Caterpillar to moth or butterfly can be absolutely beautiful

I will never get over the absolute beauty and miraculous transition from a slow pudgy caterpillar to a beautiful graceful flying delicate butterfly. One of natures best ❤
Speaking from myself who has Lepidopterophobia (Phobia of butterflies). I can remove my bias and say that objectively butterflies can be deemed beautiful. However, they are not graceful at all. They have extremely erratic flying behavior.
Agreed. Being in rough waters, it helps me to have faith that it's for a purpose. That while in the trenches, I am growing, gaining strength, transforming, etc. And some day, I will understand why these hard times turned out to be worth it.
Finally, a video of caterpillar morphing into pupae and butterfly coming out of pupae. I remember i'm being desperate looking for this when i taught about this at elementary school

Watching this, I thought that, in a fictional world, this looks like an alien being born. And that totally changed this should've-been beautiful process to a harmless insect.

I've lived my whole life in Southern California, and as a kid, I saw all kinds of butterflies and other critters like moths and bees. In grade school, we had an assignment of catching 3 butterflies, identify them, and 1 was supposed to be a Monarch. That was in the '60s. In the last 20 years, I've seen 1 butterfly, and I was shocked to see it. And the bee's disappearance makes me very sad, too.
