Part of the reason Ren is not more well known in the US is that he is independent. He does nearly everything himself. But he is catching on. I don't think it will be long. I enjoyed your reaction very much.

First Back on 74, a cover of a Jungle song. Then the rap part, his own. Finally cover of a Police song, Message in a bottle. But these three songs bleed into each other, with elements of one song to be found in the other parts

Sting is now solo for many years. And he is one of Ren's favourites - and you can hear it in his singing style, definitely. Sting and his band had a big influence on Ren and his musical sensibility. :o) 💙

If you don’t know yet, The Big Push is the band Ren was in for several years. They aren’t currently playing together. I see others suggesting the 1 Million Subscribers thank you video which is also an excellent recommendation to learn who Ren really is.

I believe that REN is planning on moving to the US very soon. He just wrapped up some medical treatments for his ailments up in Vancouver Canada. I think he's heading back to the UK for a short period and then the REN train to the US and all the glory that he deserves begins
His treatment has been in Calgary, Alberta, Canada not Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He has said that he will probably need to return to the clinic in Calgary frequently so it makes sense to stay on this continent. He'll be moving to L.A.
The original back on 74 from a few years ago was referring to an imaginary place. Ren changed it up to a time, and gave it that 70s motown funk, sprinkled in some rap, since well, Ren. And message in a bottle was a 70s release, so why not. 😅 Nice weave of the 2. Thanks for the video friend 🍻

There are other songs where Ren shows off his voice more, he even manages to do long and technically impeccable races; but Ren is a group of things, he is an artist with capital letters. I was going to suggest I shot the sheriff, Road to Zion, hiphop, with Rens old busking band "The big push"! I think you will see another facet of Ren and his love of other genres. It is also worth mentioning that it has to be the video where he is wearing the red suspenders. He does another one, but this version hits different! Whenever it says “retake” it’s Ren putting his own spin on other artists’ songs that he loves - from mashing up multiple songs or rapping over an EDM track. You never know what to expect except that he will make it his own while paying tribute and it will be fire 🔥 This was another brilliant ReNtake. Just Ren doing Ren things. Crazy runs and harmonies, filthy bars to remind us that he is also still a cheeky boi, and that voice that’s perfect for Sting/The Police songs. Ren has music in his soul and pours so much soul into everything he does. We’re just lucky to witness it 🐰🕳️
if this is a remake...it's his now.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ it took me awhile to understand Rems choice of words with retake. what an artists does a cover or remake they usually keep the words or most of them. whereas Rens retake the instrumental parts seems to carry the essence of the original, but lyrically it is in Rens playground. his love of music is undeniable. his understanding of it is just off the charts. this song has a smoky Robinson kinda vibe or Marvin Gaye feel to it. it has that quintessential 70s soul sound. loved your reaction! have a beautiful day! 🌸❤️🎶🙏🎶❤️🌸

Ren was influenced by the English rock/punk band, The Police. “Message In A Bottle” was The Police band’s first hit in 1979. The lead singer is Sting. REN’s voice emulates Stings voice in this video. There’s other songs he did retakes on by The Police/Sting: “ Walking On The Moon”, “Englishman In New York”. You may wanna check them out. Great reaction btw!

No desrespect Otaku, how confident can viewers believe that you are watching an artist for the very first time? I watch reactors specifally to see if they are honest or, playing the prettendy game they have never watched the source material. You can always tell quite easilly by the timing of the surprise reaction, and non reaction that should be compelling of the Artists intent ... 99.9% of all sucsessfull content creators need to do this to be great Actors THAT THEY ARE. Always coming from the bedroom/living room enviroment norm. It is a business, as my mate says; The best sales are the sales of lies.
