As a white, Gen X gal with a rock and roll background, I've never, ever been a fan of rap and hip-hop. But Ren has changed that, and reactors with deeper knowledge of the genre have really opened my eyes to a lot I've missed. So I'm looking forward to your deeper dives. 😊
He is legendary. Haven’t had one of him in decades. Some of his stuff gives me a Busta or Slick Rick vibe. The transitions on this remind me of old school tracks. If you watch more of his stuff, you may see it here and there.

Ren is an absolute BEAST at the cadence changes and flow switch ups. I always grin when I hear someone ask if he 'makes his own beats'. What would be harder, crafting a beat to fit an involved scheme of flow changes, or making an involved scheme of flow changes to fit a complex beat? Yes, in general he makes his own beats, but either way he's pretty impressive.
Some of those lyrics, yeah this particular song by Ren belongs on this channel. Whenever I hear him I always pick up some type of Ska or Reggae influence. Maybe it’s just his accent, it used to be called cockney. Don’t know if it’s still called that. He’s very interesting and compelling to listen to. Thanks, boss. 🔥

I set up a spreadsheet to try to track the pop and hip hop references in that one song. I really like your approach to reactions. This IMO is your way of showing both the artist and the viewers who come to your channel to see a good reaction. Personally, I really don't like it when on other channels people stop the music every 3 seconds and constantly rewind it because they found a particular phrase particularly good, expelling streams of unnecessary trash talk.
