I'm very new to Ren. I've only seen a video of him busking shirtless on a street, and this one. He seems to be quite talented, but something else that touches people is going on beyond that, I think?
Ren is a very multi layered and multi talented artist. He is also chronically ill. Much of his music has been influenced by his journey through illness. He is someone worthy of exploring!
One of his more recent songs from a couple of months ago, "Troubles", is a good intro into his back story, his battle with illness and his determination to raise awareness and help others. A lot of his songs are about his struggles with illness and mental health, but that's not all he's about and he's incredibly talented with a whole range of stuff that rarely sticks to one genre either. One minute he's rapping a lyrically intense critique of capitalism, the next he's playing a beautiful self composed piano instrumental, and more besides.
what a great tune . I hope REN revisits this song , updates it, adds some more meaningful lyrics to the ones already in there. It will be a massive hit. I can see it playing on an independent film.
