Mr. LBoyd, you need to go watch Ren's 35 minute video where he explains exactly what is going on... There's a lot to it and Ren tried his best to work it out, even offered to do a collab with him and let him have 50% percent of whole thing. As far as the scenery part, I highly doubt Ren will be buying more beats from shady producers... lol.

Ren got an unlimited license on the beat, and he chopped it, and remixed it, and added his own transitions and embellishments. He's not dissing producers, he is a producer. He's dissing Kujo personally, because he's holding the song hostage while his lawyers fight essentially for him to be able to breach the contract, despite the fact that he didn't produce the song. He just built a beat around an uncleared sample, then sold it for a price. His creative input was minimal. He really was just a part of the scenery.

The original song was written by Ren, performed by him, ABOUT him, and the beat was even reworked by him...he was, in every way, the subject matter...in your example, Kujo was more like some of the tiles that comprised the mosaic floor of the room that the statue of Ren is displayed in...and not even the prettiest tiles because those he stole from a Bulgarian choir. He doesn't need to be worried about other producers. He now has the resources to do things like THIS...and his record with other artists on collabs speaks for itself.

R Boyd, you are the Governor of breaking down music from a cold, first view perspective. Just to add important context to this one. Yes, there are 2 sides of Ren in this vid, it leans heavily on his Hi Ren, good v evil song. The most important 'cheat sheet' for this song is Ren's 35min explanation video of how he bought a beat in good faith from a 1/3 party, produced by Kujo, which he used on his Sick Boi song (title of his UK #1 album). On Sick Boi from that purchased beat, is a children's choir. Ren uses it for a small part of the overall song (intro and end).This is the white gowned choir reference in this diss, albeit not that same choir sound from the Sick Boi song. Kujo had no distribution rights for that choir piece, Ren bought it in good faith with full future use. It get's awfully complex from there (highly recommend Ren's explanation with full receipts). In short, despite Ren offering some pretty neat solutions, Kujo appears to demand full future and past £££ from Ren for the Sick Boi song. During process, Kujo had You Tube remove Sick Boi in a copyright strikedown move. Kujo then appeared to lean on this as leverage. Finally, Ren decided to keep Sick Boi off You Tube which he'll re-record later with all his own beats. Kujo's partner was also piling in on Ren saying some pretty nasty stuff. Mr Boyd, you referenced Ren sort of belittling of beat producers, he's one himself and in his 35min vid he is very clear of his respect for their role in the music industry. His reference here is the relatively minor part the choir piece plays in his song. Part 2 is not made IMO, I think it's making is more of a threat if Kujo carries on with this nonsense. Finally, I think the statement Ren puts up is absolutely necessary since Ren has many times in this spat has been at pains to say it's his beef only. With a 1.5m+ following, he does not want a pile on.

Ren was right to put the warning at the end, since most of his fans are new to Hip Hop and have no idea about the rules. He probably just unleashed half a million protective soccer moms (myself included) on Kujo 😂

Not a diss track and Kujo isn't a producer. Just a beat maker he bought unlimited rights to but Kujo used a stolen sample from a Bungarian choir, hence the choir singing horror film style lol.

The subject of the song Sick Boi is literally Ren himself.

Sick boy is a hundred percent all about ren. So when he says he's the subject he's not lying. It's not a shot at the producers. It's about the content that was made.

Kujo is mad because there was a hold up on his rightful publishing cut being paid to him. BUT, the reason it was "ultimately" delayed was because Kujo himself sold a beat to Ren that contained an unlicensed sample. Kujo had no rights to that sample. The sample owner then later came after Rens team for their piece of the pie. Rens team went back to Kujo and said you are responsible for this(based on the beat stars contract) and should absorb this % out of your %. Kujo and his team said NO. Ren tried multiple ways to reach a compromise even though he did NOT need to do anything further. Kujo and his team dug their heels in further and so Diss Theater was born. Oh and Kujo's GF interjected herself into this all by her boss girl self.

She was brought into that for very good reasons. She lied about him on the Internet. She threaten to break his legs, and then she put up a dog turd copy of the contract that did not exist. Which she can prove because he has all the receipts. He is a 30 minute video, explaining everything and shows those receipts.

Apparently the people in white represent the Bulgarian choir and they die at the end because without their sample the song Sick Boi is dead (I read this from someone else's comment). I think he said in his earlier post and his comment on this video that he would sue their asses off as part two if this isn't the end of it.

Ren was wise to put the disclaimer at the end and he repeatedly asked people not to attack or harass Kujo. A lot of people are fervent in their défense of Ren. Plus he needed to protect himself legally.

Ren's alter ego IS Sick Boi. It's his balance to both sides of him. The light can't exist without the dark and vice versa. Now Ren is feeling unbalanced, the dark has been removed. In Hi Ren he said it was an eternal pendulum and the brighter the light shone, the darker the shadow it cast. Now there's nothing but light and it's going to cast some REALLY Dark shadows. The title "Kujo beatdown" is a triple entendre. It plays on Kujobeats, the verbal ballistic smackdown diss, AND, the fact that Ren removed Sick Boi from all streaming platforms. He took the Kujo beat down. Being a diss track, all bets are off, all cards are on the street floor and no subject is sacred. When he referenced Kujo's gf liking it rough, she said in an IG message exchange that she'd fly to London and break his kneecaps. It was a stupid thing to say on two levels because - 1- Ren is in usually Brighton 2- Now Ren can add threats of violence to copyfraud, actual breach of contract, anticipatory breach of contract, libel, defamation AND extortion. Kujobeats isn't just finished in the music industry, he's going to pretty much be totally eradicated from it. Beatstars may even go through his entire back catalogue on their platform and see if every single beat has been copyright cleared. If not then he may face copyfraud and breach of contract charges on each beat. If he's got 500 beats and just 50% of them breach copyright - that's a fuckton of shit he's just dropped on himself.

Ren produces MOST of his stuff on his own. He was looking for beats to inspire himself and found one he really liked so, bought the unlimited license so he could use it. He took it, changed it some, added to it, wrote the lyrics, and then put it all together. He will be releasing a NEW SickBoy song that he will fully produce to go with his lyrics (I'm still hoping he gets the Bulgarian Choir to perform for the new release). Usually, IF he works with a producer, he is very fair. I don't think he has burned any bridges with this one. Kujo, on the other hand, selling a beat which he had not cleared all the samples from... has committed carer ______.

I think his line, "I'm the subject matter you're a part of the scenery," is so good because of its depth. In this context, it is clearly an insult... however, a slight rewording and inflection change, and the meaning is positive. "I'm the subject matter; you brought life with the scenery," for example. Any artist knows that the background/foundation is important. Wether it be music or visuals, Ren definitely doesnt downplay the importance in the details. What matters most is the quality, and with a producer proud of their work, Ren would highlight their worth beautifully.

The 'likes it rough' line is in reference to Kujo's GF jokingly talking about 'knee capping' Ren over all the shit.

I think the line about - I’m the subject matter and you’re part of the scenery, might refer to the fact this whole issue is over the Sick Boi song and that whole song if about Ren and his struggles with his health. So he is literally the subject matter of the song.

So, the first bit are the same two sides that spoke to each other in "Hi Ren". The devil in Ren, and hope. Hope was for an amicable solution in all of this... but there was a realization that this was not possible, so he handed control to the devil in Ren. To summarize the 30 min video. Ren bought an unlimited license to a beat on Beatstars, which in order for Kujo to sell there, Kujo needs to clear. It wasn't; Kujo sold a stolen sample. The Bulgarian choir went after Ren, then subsequently Kujo for 50% of profits. Also, Ren had requested everything be done legit. His publishing company buggered the payments to Kujo for Sick Boi. Kujo then filed a copyright strike against Ren because of this, without contacting him. Ren sorted out the publishing - Kujo would be paid. Kujo demanded 50% of everything (publishing and master) on the track. Ren declined on principle. He eventually offered a much smaller cut, and even offered a 50/50 split collab on a new tune so everyone would get paid a fair share overall. Kujo played hardball and declined. That said, all the private conversations between Ren and Kujo were two-faced on Kujo's part. Kujo's GF got involved. And started making comments to Ren with fabricated contract info. Ren had a conversation to try and sort out things, and she seemed to come to a relative consensus... until she shitposted Ren the next day in public. The pair are behaving as two faced manipulators hiding behind their lawyer. Kujo still demanded 50% of the master, and the lawyers threatened to take 100% of the profits. So Ren took the song down and is remaking it without the beat. He went public and posted receipts (the 35 min video); idemnifies him from slander/libel. And he made this song to get the emotions out, and at least make something good from this dumpster fire.
