The cello really elevated the presentation of the spoken word here. The bass of the cello hits my heart like a high note of a vocal. Well orchestrated!
I wonder what it feels like when you get called in by Ren to play on a song. Then you find out you're rehearsing for Ren to unleash a masterpiece like this and you know it all along while the whole world doesn't have a clue. The anticipation I would have throughout, this is like ultimate work fulfilment.
And one of the violinist only lost a bow out of the deal which Ren quickly paid for. She was a trooper not even flinching while accidentally getting rained on. 😅 It truly was a masterpiece and I feel lucky to watch a star finally getting recognized. He is my 2023 artist, no one can touch him in his musical artistry. He is literally the total fricken package. From singing, rapping, instruments, writing, beats, directing and producing.
Beautiful...just Beautiful. I have organ failure and 14 other illnesses. Your music has helped me through horrific pain. No matter how many times I listen to money game pt 3 it still hits like the first time. I listened with my mum who is a paramedic and charity worker and we were close to tears. It is a musical mirror. 💖💖💖💖
Music is my therapy too and I’m so thankful for Ren! He’s wise beyond his years and he amazes me with everything he creates! I truly hope you find comfort from music also! I’m sending you lots of love and warm comforting hugs from PA USA! ❤
OMG....my heart breaks for you, I'm so sorry for all of your pain and sickness. 😢 I need to start appreciating the health I have and not sweat the little stuff. Please get better, I'll pray.
There's NOTHING like working with your fellow artists during a rehearsal... The concentration, slight delusions from practicing over and over again, quickly speeding through some portions and finely tuning others...it's just amazing how much work gets put into something and the execution is only a breathless second before it vanishes. And those moments can almost never be replicated the exact same again. And no matter what, all of it is still ART 🖤
I'm a fellow traveller... Severe spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease, chronic SVT, an ileostomy from acute colon failure... the Money Game is real. Since 2016, I've been hospitalized 42 times and have had 11 surgeries. All with gleeful vengeance in my positivity. My daughter recommended "HI REN" to me, knowing I'd relate. You're a delight, Ren. You've beautifully captured the wretched journey of chronic pain and illness. I thank you.
I feel you & I'm sorry!! I was born w/a rare genetic mutation that has landed me in more cross country hospitalizations & surgeries than I like to admit, total chestwall reconstruction, heart surgery, esophageal surgery, totally cut open from my neck to my tailbone bc of my back, kyphoscoliosis w/DDD, & I too decided to give up my life to travel, visit a foreign land, look for my place to lay it all down & give up fighting w/o losing my smile or love of life. 15 surgeries I'm on, several of them necessary to save my life, others necessary cleanup of past procedure failures, some bc my body overheals, my cells don't know when to stop calcifying bone breaks or healing a tear in my throat, they'll keep laying down new cells 'til my throat has closed itself up. Idk how deeply I'd have appreciated Ren w/o knowing of his journey--I'd have dug his music, regardless, but he gives a voice to his suffering, something a majority of us wish we could do ourselves, & it's relatable, not knowing if tomorrow I'll hurt so bad I can barely move or O2 is so low I can't go further than 14' from my O2 concentrator tho other days I look like a healthy, young person, for all intents & purposes (tho I'm far older than I appear), & autoimmunity isn't unfamiliar either, so it's nice to see someone whom understands the hurt, & expresses it openly, rise to tbe top. I wish you many more years of travel & positivity!! ✌💛🐿
Recently heard you weren’t doing so hot right now Ren. I just wanted to let you know your such an inspiration to all of us. From your extreme talent to your awe inspiring strength and persistence to keep going. You’ve touched millions of people around the world despite all the challenges lifes thrown your way. Top of the U.S charts coming soon. I know it 💙
Ren is in medication trials until February but has taken some studio equipment with him so can keep up on his good days, I've also read that there is more pre finished work to come out before the end of the year 🙏
Absolutely love this glimpse BTS. Previously I would just witness a highly polished and perfected video which is amazing but seeing how it is constructed is a privilege. I can’t believe how much of a Ren fan I have become in the last 9 months. I am in my 60’s and the last time I was this infatuated with an artist was Ian Dury, another wordsmith that was a genre bender. However, Ian Dury just composed the lyrics with other musicians providing the music and as we know Ren does the lot. I am loving this journey and can’t wait to see where we go next. I hope the next few months aren’t too arduous for you Ren. Good luck.
I too am in my 60’s and the last time I was excited by an artist was Cat stevens . But Ren is on a different level than anyone I have ever heard of . His humanity and humility along with such a talent - I am in a state of awe and appreciation .
The strings were gorgeous!! Added to the cinematic quality of the song and video. Adding “classical composer” to the never ending list of your talents 🎻
Hey Ren, I was in a Taxi this morning and the driver was listening to some grime and I mentioned you to him. I'm in Bangor Wales, been following your door journey with your music a good while now. He's from Menai Bridge area and remembered growing up with you and Joe and people. You got all the love and support of your old buds up here proud of you for making it.
I love and respect the whole concept of MG3, but when the strings came in, my mind was blown. Such an iconic song that will become timeless and in the future our children will say "You need to hear this song from Ren" and we'll just chuckle to ourselves.❤
I have such a soft spot for this. My daughter has been playing cello for about fifteen years and I weep whenever I see and hear her play. Such a beautiful instrument.
@@supertuscans9512 Lol, I was very afraid of musical instruments, then a friend who has been in bands from a teen, handed me an acoustic guitar and an electric. I had no knowledge of chords and all that, I just went with the flow. And didn't over think. He was quite charmed, if a little bit weepy.
Oh gosh Ren.. I guess if we can make you cry during livestreams more than once a week, I guess you can do the same.. every single time.. thank you Ren!♥️🎶♥️xx
This is the bit that got me, and my 16yr old daughter's ears were wiggling. Our family have separated now, the music we share will always be there. Always the constant, thankyou for being there.
Good to see the HARD WORK that goes into something like this. A peek behind the currents every once in a while reminds us mere mortals that you ARE just a human being in the end.....Brilliant and a Beast, but human none the less.
Gotta Love how much depth classical instruments can give to the spoken word 🙌 🎶🎻great look into behind the scenes and process 🤗 hope you're giving yourself permission to enjoy some well deserved time off and rest Ren 🌻🌿💟
the best thing about this is watching them watch you. and feeling the music. your an inspiration to us all and so deserving of all the praise your receiving. i still think your best is yet to come and i cannot wait.
That cello though. It's so moody and fits the lyric like a glove. I absolutely love this tune!! Peace and love, Ren. Hope the upcoming treatment works well! 💚
That made me tear up all over again! There is something so remarkable in your lyrics Ren that touch the soul... and then those strings bring musical emotion and creates perfection. Thank you x
This is truly beautiful music. So good. Thanks for sharing some behind the scenes stuff. Now we know your not just magically popping masterpieces out of nowhere, but you're magically working on them for hours then showing us the product of your hard work and wizardry! 💜
Thank you so much for giving us a glimpse into the creative process. We're getting to see a genius "show his work" as he solves an intricate equation. It's beautiful to watch. ❤
What a treat! We are so blessed & thankful for you, sharing not just your artistry, music, wisdom and your story but allowing us BTS to appreciate the immense time & dedication you all put in to bring light to our souls 🙏🙏❤️
I think he is likely so concerned with their time that he is floating through just his parts and really dedicating himself to those unrehearsed moments with the accompaniment. It’s a sign really that he holds their talent in a higher regard than his own. Or that he has his part nailed already and his regard is for their time. Both show humility and respect to his fellow artists.
REN, finding your music and creative prose has woken me up from a deep sleep. You are an amazing artist and creative genius. Thank you for sharing your journey and talents! ❤️🫶🏼❤️
These musicians are great but there are two absolute stand out geniuses in this piece. Obviously Ren himself and the other is Charlie the pianist whose performance is truly breathtaking in part because the timing and rhyming changes are so damn complex.
It's amazing to see some of the work that went into making the MG3 video what it was. The strings elevate the performance so much! The piano and strings that you composed on this was just beautiful. Hope as you lean into the harder portion of your treatment that make you foggy and it's difficult to make music that you still find these bright spots within your own creations (as well as those of others) and that they help carry you through!
Goosebumps, every time. I'm such a sucker for strings, especially for cellos. I started playing the violin a while ago and I have to keep myself from buying a cello too 😅
Thanks for posting this rehearsal, Ren. The strings make such a beautiful ending, while the "rain" makes it somber, and I still sing "rain, rain, rain, rain..." after screen goes blank and you hear the click. As always, I hope you're chugging through the last stages of treatments and get to come out the other side with the sun shining vigorously on your being.
Crying again at this beauty. But happy tears. I, like many others here, live with disabilty and currently a bad flare of health & pain. Your art and music reminds me creativity is everything... healing, momentum, bravery, inspiration, fighting and expression. I can't explain what you've all gifted me. We fight together, with love, and shared experience
Your music and videos are pieces of art, Money Game 3 is everythig you promised it would be, love it so much 🔥❤🔥 Appreciate this 'behind the scene' video! All the best to you Ren, and sending positive vibes for your treatment and health 💪 💖
These mirrored videos can throw me for a loop sometimes, like this. After playing the cello for years, was strange watching all the strings bowing with their left hands.
Thank you for sharing these kinds of videos it always makes me feel kind of fortunate to see these glimpses of how these beautiful songs came together, and look behind the scenes.
It's wonderful to see this. This is familiar territory to me. I know how much time is spent putting together anything on stage, on camera, in a studio. Also writing the words that go into it. The music. It is not usually one person who is deeply involved in it all. This is a 21st century Renaissance.
This is amazing! I really enjoy seeing some of the process and hard work that go into the performance. A true work of art! Thank you for this rare look Ren!
