I'm 69, not Welsh - but Ren Gill is the most innovative and versatile musician / producer / actor / lyricist / instrumentalist I have ever encountered through my life and love of music. He is a rising star that Wales, all of the UK, and planet Earth should be proud of. I'm buying the album (every little helps).
The British Isles have produced some of the greatest artists of all time. Ren is legitimately standing right there with them already. I know he's spent a lifetime working to get where he is, but he's also just getting started.
I'm 68 and I am in awe of Ren's talent, I live in Brighton and have seen Ren many times play around the town in his band The Big Push. You could see he was a talent when they played on the streets of Brighton, to be honest the members of the band were talented musicians but Ren had more about him, such confidence in his playing and singing...

Never mind No.1 in the UK, Ren is the No.1 in the world as far as I'm concerned... I'm 61 and have loved musuc all of my life, played in pub bands, and I have never come across an artist close to Ren in this industry in all my years... Whilst I agree Ren is immensely talented, his musical skills have taken thousands of dedicated hours of hard work, playing, writing and practicing to get that good, talent will only get you so far, this incredible young man has worked hard at his craft 👏👏👏👏

Told my therapist that today! I had to miss Ren’s twitch stream for my appointment, so I brought him up! I made her pull him up on YT, we watched part of “Patience” the Unrest footage, I sang along, cried, and told her that he does give hope and a voice to people that are suffering some form of pain or anguish or doubt daily. “He has struggled, but it has given him that strength to write and sing about his experiences to help push himself and others through it.” Thanks bro. 🥊😎👍 ❤️

Ren is now only 150 album sales behind Rick Astley I'm English but I've never wanted a Welsh person get to number 1 in the Album charts more than Ren he deserves it so much and other independent artists should feel inspired that you don't need a record label to make it has an artist
Regarding Astley's statement about whether a song will stand up when sung live.... All Ren's video's are done in one take which is an amazing achievement in itself. Ren truly deserves to be number one .

#1 or #2...doesn't matter. Ren is already doing something almost unheard of, releasing an album to this success while done minimal advertising, no touring, etc. Absolutely remarkable. We all know that Ren is endlessly talented, but he's also a trailblazer. He's nothing short of a musical/creative genius and he deserves 10000% of the success and reception he's getting. I am ridiculously proud of Ren. I am Welsh and old enough to be his grandmother but his lyrics and music speak to me in such a profound way. I'm so impressed with your hard work and refusal to let your illness keep you from chasing your dreams. You helped bring a whole new style to music, brought storytelling back with a fury, got people to think, closed gaps in relationships, gave people hope who had little, challenged stereotypes, and altered perspectives. I know you need the numbers to grow, but I don't think anyone is going to get bored with you. Ever. And, just remember, the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheddar.
