Great reaction Bro. They have a fun acoustic version of this filmed live in a multi-storey car park, complete with angry car-park attendant. They get told to leave and walk out still singing, they don't so much as miss a beat, even when Ren breaks a guitar string.

there's an outdoor busking performance of this song that they also absolutely kill. yet another performance they do ~while~ getting kicked out of a parking garage, the latter half of which with a broken guitar strings - these guys can't miss.

Sam is a massive Ed fan. The 1st song he ever sang busking with Ren was Ed Sheeran

Not only is the stomp picked up by the mics, Ren has his guitar pressed against his body, & that's a pretty clean, slick pick-up in that guitar that is likely catching some of that stomp thru the percussion resonating thru Ren's body as he is doing the stomping. Not that it would emit a shitload of stomp thru the amp but it would likely add a bit more, as someone who's bf is extremely particular about the brand & type of pick-ups & # of potentiometers in his electric guitars, depending on where he intends to play it & what other instruments may be near enough to bleed thru. That's often why you see bigger bands performing live on tour w/clear dividers between each band member & why studio recording of instruments is often done in totally dif rooms or @ completely dif times than the recording of the other instruments, to prevent 1 instrument from bleeding into the sound captured by another. I know the guys in the Dead always perform w/clear dividers between all of the band members when touring, to keep the sound as clean & crisp as possible. I'm glad Ren did that stomp tho, bc I've heard all other versions of blind-eyed, & I think that tiny touch of percussion really adds to the piece, esp when playing it in the car.
