great reaction, and you were spot on with the bulgarian folk choir sample! this song is so honest and something only an independent artist is able to speak about!
THANK YOU! GTFOH! you all are the first I have seen (personally) that not only asked the question of origin but then ACTULLY FKN FOUND IT! 😆 FKN love it! 👋👋👋👋👋👋
Yay for Rensday Renactions! 😂 Now that you have checked out Sick Boi, I highly recommend going back in time a bit for Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. If Sick Boi is an expression of all Ren’s frustrations from being misdiagnosed for years, Crutch is the fear when getting seriously ill and not knowing what’s going on. It is a beautiful piece of art and one of my absolute favourite Ren songs.
Don't underestimate yourselves Lads. Every time you share/react to artists like Ren, who tells us what's wrong, and Dimash, who tells us how it can be fixed, you're actually taking a lead role in disseminating what's happening in the world today. I grew up with the likes of Country Joe McDonald, John Lennon, Joan Baez, Janis Joplin, and Bob Dillan - among others who wrote and sang in protest of the wrongs happening in their time, all of whom opened my young eyes to stuff I just didn't see. Now, in my 60s, it does my heart good to see musicians of today so vociferous about the trials and tribulations of today and folks like you passing it on. Some of my generation have a lot to answer for and seeing the torch passed to the next generation keeps my faith in our species alive. Kia Kaha. ❤
@@millennialxreactionsnot sure about that. To me it feels a bit like an outro for the album? So maybe best saved for later when you have checked out everything else or at least most on there 😅 Maybe other RENegades disagree though.
The lyrics to the sample in English: Hey Petrunka, young girl We've gone all over Nowhere did we find a dance In your village there are three dances The first dance is little Petrunka's Little Petrunka leads the dance Up came a wild fellow He doesn't go to the middle But he joins at the head At the head by Petrunka He tears her bouquet with his forehead He muddies her slippers with his feet
Great reaction! You'll have to react to Sick Boi part 2 next! It's my favourite song on the album. Those lyrics! Incredible! Those flows! That delivery! That BEAT! Definitely react to part 2, it's a ridiculously good track! Then again, it's Ren, so it's no surprise. Ren just doesn't do bad tracks! :)
Think of the phenomenon of social media and the mobile phone, which is definitely a tracking bit of technology that they have convinced us we can't do without. Imagine tomorrow we wake up and there is no Internet anywhere in the world,? How long before we become savages, I think before lunch....seriously
Create Reaction Boys, its great to see people who genuinely love music reacting to independents. I would stay on the Hip Hop journey for a bit, I recommend 'Illest of our time' next. 👍
Great reaction guys! How on earth did you find that sample??? Protest music has always struck a chord with me but as I got older I realised the irony of it coming out of a corporate world which is a big part of the problem! I know Ren is independent which makes him much more credible but don't hold your breath waiting for the world to change on the back of his work. Sorry if that sounds too negative but It's how I feel. Cheers.
Hello dears! I often say-always remember doctors are 'practicing' medicine (on you) AND they have boat payments to make. where is the reason to cure you? Nowhere! Renegades are familiar with the tender mercies of professionals. Great job once again, guys! Kathleen. BTS renegade
Yes, I agree with @TechnoTone below, thank you for leaving the link to the Bulgarian music Ren sampled in his video. I'm actually very surprised that Ren didn't credit the sample in his own video. A bit naughtly, that!
Great reaction as usual. If you haven't already checked out Ren's 1990's, or Life is Funny, or Penitence ft Molly McKenna, which is pure art. If you have a soft spot for independent artists who are thriving, then check out PROF. His catalogue is deep! Check out Squad Goals, or Devils Gate as a starter.
Not sure you've even heard Ren rap rap yet, maybe the hunger, or Genesis (acoustic version available also) Ren does all the music, pick a genre, Rens got it covered.
U guys should definitely get back to Ren, and maybe dive into some of his older music from his Freckled Angels album! You're missing out on so many different sides of him! Someone else u should check our is PROF! He's one of the best rappers on RU-vid imo....Start with fire lessons!
I'm enjoying your Ren stuff. Can I ask you a favor, though? Please don't pause SO close to the end. You interupt the climax often, when you do that, and it's stuff that could have been said 20 seconds later. You probably don't often do that. But it stood out so clearly in this one. I'm NOT anti pause!!! But pauses at the very end seem so unnecessary and easy to avoid. Otherwise this was a great reaction
I don't know about Bill but I dont ever look to see how much time is left and I was unaware of where we were. We can take more time to look next time. Thanks for the suggestion.
It's not that big of a deal, really!!! I'm a reaction addict, so I have certain things that I prefer, but I'm No one!! lol. Simply putting the cursor in the video brings up the meter that shows how much time is left. I see other reactors do that and when they see it's about to end anyway they just wait. This really isn't for me, so much, because I've seen the video SO many times. I hate to see the ending be slightly less impactful for the reactor, because they interupted the flow of the "climax" Again, you should do what YOU want to do. It won't change my opinion of you guys at all!. I'm enjoying your reactions@@millennialxreactions
