I'm definitely going to have to check this place out when we go to Phuket. Was watching this with my girlfriend and when khun Amy was introducing herself she said "oh my god...that lady is sooo beautiful" I responded "oh yeah...I guess so..I hadn't really noticed" Then we both burst out laughing. She knows me so well 😂😂

😂 😂 Paradise! Thankfully the food is amazing as there isn’t too much nearby except a couple of things on the beach nearby. 😀 but really awesome place!

Hello there. I'm the one who asked you about the Four Point Hotel in Phuket yesterday. First of all, thank you very much for the reply. After you said Renaissance is your favorite hotel in Phuket, my wife is very tempted to choose Renaissance because the hotel is more beautiful. She and her mom are vegans like I told you yesterday. She trusts you very much after I told her you are a vegan also....LOL. Her Marriott Platinum membership has a higher chance (according to the room ratio from you) of getting an upgrade for a better room than the busy Four Points on Pa Tong Beach. But there are Cons if we stay at the Renaissance. 1. It is very far away from popular restaurants, Tourist areas like Pa Tong beach, the old Phuket town, and even some bigger supermarkets. 2. We will bring a 7 month baby with us so we cannot travel for hours of round trips daily. We will stay in Phuket for 5 nights and will probably spend one, perhaps two days on longer trips. So, it's a different lifestyle for me now. Do you suggest taking buses at the airport? Taxi and Grab services aren't cheap and I am not comfortable renting a car in Thailand because the wheels are on the right and in the USA, I'm used to the left. Thai drivers are pretty aggressive drivers. This is my 2nd Phuket trip, and my 1st one was in 2018 (still single at the time and was cruising on a rental Mo-pet, Yahoo!!). Okay, here comes the serious question since you are the expert of Phuket, perhaps Thailand, or the whole of Southeast Asia. Which hotel is the better choice for me? Four P pros- close to everything, decent food, cheaper. Cons-prob not able to get an upgrade could get a room facing some old, crappy buildings ( this is huge for my wife since she's a Platinum member) she will have a bad time. Needs to pay extra for the 3rd adult (my mother-in-law). Most Phuket hotels tend to have this money-snatching policy. Rena- Pros- a beautiful area with a private beach, even though some tourists complained the beach was full of trash. Great Great Food. Will likely get an upgrade. Close to the airport. Cons- far from everything, expensive. Any opinion will be greatly appreciated. -Peter

Hi Peter, Nice to hear from you again. Yes you are more likely to get an upgrade at Renaissance,, but even if you weren’t upgraded, the rooms are more spacious than those that footprints. But I totally understand your situation. Nowadays, I’m not so much a party animal, but I used to love in the heart of the action which is Pa Tong. Unfortunately, I can’t advise too much on getting a bus from the airport . Being 99% blind, I’ve always just got a grab or a taxi. I used to pre-order a taxi from the UK and paying in advance and I’ve never had any issues, but the rate would probably be marginally cheaper than getting a grab when you arrive at the airport. But it would no way be as cheap as getting a bus. I’m not sure how Mobile your mother-in-law is, and also taking into account having a baby with perhaps the added luggage like a pushchair and so on it might be better to get a taxi or a grab. So I have one more suggestion to consider . Have you considered? Phuket Beach Resort? I didn’t have the greatest experience with vegan dining here, however, I was only a gold member at the time. I have since learnt a great deal of time, and can now explain that I don’t eat meat, fish, fish sauce, and so on. So now being ambassador and being able to communicate in time, I’m sure the Thai hospitality would cater for the dietary requirements, and I think the same with apply for your wife who is a platinum member. The trick is to speak with front desk because they speak very good English and get them to translate or communicate with the Chef. I’ve also found in many hotels that if there are any issues just ask to speak to the food and beverage director immediately, and that will then usually sort things out. so Phuket Beach resort is only about a 10 minute drive away from Pa Tong. I have to watch my video again to remember, but from memory, they either had a free shuttle service or very cheap shuttle service down to the town. If you look at the rooms in this hotel and the stunning beach which has no seaweed stones and just soft sand in Clearwater, this might be a lovely option. The water gradually increases, which means anyone and everyone can enjoy it whether they can swim or not. I will send you the link for this video. The four points is at least a 10-15 minutes walk away from Bangladeshi Road so not completely in the heart of the action, but close enough, yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The team and food were great at four points very enjoyable with beautiful sunsets. My honest opinion would be, if I was wanting to stay in the heart of the action then I would choose four points that nowadays I’m not a party animal and happy to stay away and relax within the hotel nearby facilities. So when I do return to Phuket I will only go stay at the Renaissance,, although I do have bookings for other nearby properties coming up next year and I will be videoing as well. .

How private was your villa? Could you hear the neighbours when you are in your own plunge pool?

Hi I was mainly out of the villa so didn't spend much time in and around the villa. But, when I was there and when I shot the film, there was no noise. There are villas next to you, either on just one side or both, depending on whether you were given a corner villa or middle one. I'm sorry I can't be more help - I have to give you my honest answer 😀

I’m traveling with my husband and we wanna stay in this hotel .. Is it really far from the touristic area ? How many minutes? Also we want to do some activities like how far is this hotel from everything ?? And thank you so much 😊

Hello 😀 So, the main tourist area that most people refer to is Patong. I would say that this will be between 25 and 35 minutes away depending on what time of day you travel and which part of Patong. The hotel can organise tours for you but if you prefer exploring yourself and are NOT driving then heading into Patong and back on a daily or regular basis will add up quickly in taxi fares. This hotel would be better suited if you like good food (amazing), relaxing on a quiet beach, good gym and pool and spacious rooms. If, you want to be in or close to th tourist areas then perhaps look at Four Points - I will put a link to this video in a moment. Another very good alternative is Le Meridien Beach resort. They are just 10 minutes away from Patong and provide rreasonably priced shuttle service. Plus they have the best beach! I hope this helps 😀

@@GSThai Ahh sorry for the late reply. So I visited the JW but didn’t stay there. But I believe they have some activities. For example, when I was visiting, they had a fire and dance show in the water, which you can see on my vacation club video. But for me that Renaissance, was unbelievable, and the food was out of this world. It was so good that this is actually my second favourite hotel in Thailand.
