My parents had one when I was a baby until I was about 9yrs old. It looked just like this one in the video. It was the car my mom drove. Cute little car. 🚗
My father bought a ‘70 R10 brand new. I was born in ‘78 When I was 15, we restored that car and it became my first vehicle. Very special set of memories, and the car was a lot of fun.
I had one in high school for a few months in 1972. I loved that the seats would fold all the way back so I could sleep in it if I cut a class. Also if the battery went dead it was an easy push start.
I have many childhood memories of cross country trips in an R10 and of the car vacuum locking repeatedly on those trips. We traded the Renault for a FIAT 128, a very similarly configured car and a much more reliable car. Still, watching this brings on feelings of nostalgia.
Remember riding in one, kind of soft and bouncy. A friend loaded a full kit of drums in one. The renault 12 and 16TS also good cars. Could never figure out how they cornered so well on such narrow wheels.
It was fun pulling into a gas station, and telling them to 'fill it up'. and watch them seatch for the gas tank! I rode back and forth through two years in one to community college
I'd like to see a car...any modern car if it will run in 50 yrs. They barely run now and due to the complexity of the electronic equipment after about 8 or so yrs they're nothing but a money pit. No exception... Any 10 yr old Benz, Audi, BMW it's just junk. They might look good but everything is leaking, malfunctioning etc...etc. Domnule sa te bucuri de ea in continuare. Apoi freci locul corodat si vei vedea diferenta.
