Hi, my Renault Clio 2007 Automatic shows a check cruise control message everytime. It has a mind of it's own. Can you please suggest what it could be because? It also doesn't stay at the speed set when it works.
You did not mention the limiting factor ie you must be above 18 mph. At present I am findind getting the control to set , difficult. This system seems to be sensitive to touching the breaks,clutch and accelerator and maybe steering! There are times when you have to change gear on the open road but this deactivates cruise control. There is also a safety issue to get it to slow down when approaching hazards. I definitely would not suggest any changes as the current set up is to maintain a level of safety for the vehicle. So my suggestion is to learn how to use cruise control within its design characteristics. Then you will be able to maximize its use for the open road as well as motor way/dual carriageway. It does reduce fatigue.
@@ramiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii yep, it was an issue with the brake pedal switch (it s a plunger type with 2 simultaneously switches - 4 pin) it was working only half of it) also be good to check the clutch switch (it is a simple 2 wire switch, (ez to check with multimeter) and finally i had also broken wires coming out of clock spring under the airbag in the steering wheel. those i managed to fix with some soldering skills . only the cruise control was affected airbag was ok, but it will soon go bad i expect

thank you for the vid - I have just purchased a used 2016 Clio 4 Dymanique MediaNav Clio and cannot understand this speed limiter on it . I press the speed limiter and dashes ( ---- ) come up in the info display, so I key in say 50kmh using the left buttons on the steering wheel, ok then I want to save that setting, so I go to the O button on the right hand side of the steering wheel and the display says 'memorized' .. good so far , but when I turn off the limiter button next to the gear stick and turn it back on again its back to dashes in the info display , wanting me to set it again , even pressing the 'R' button on the right hand side of the steering wheel does not recall the 50kmh I previously set ... so it looks like its not memorising my settings. Would you have an idea why please at all?
