Join us as we journey through the story of David & his beloved 1965 Renault Caravelle.
From his chance discovery of the car at an interstate car show, but not having time to find the owner & having to leave in disappointment to catch his flight back home. To then sitting next to a fellow Caravelle enthusiast at local Renault car club meeting & discovering that actual car was now for sale & here was the owners number.
David was interviewed by the owner & her husband to see if he was to be the next custodian, who would treasure their prize possession.
But that not all, so watch the video for the full story.
Another Machines & Macchiatos Classic Driver video story.

Nice. We have a similar condition car in the family. Ex Renault dealer. Would love to chat with David. My name also.

That's pretty special- the French also had a small, stylish jet airliner of the same name at the time and they evoke the same kind of ambience. Is that a Dauphine platform? Always liked those too.

W hat is interesting is the tail lights are the same as a same years FIAT 1100 103 four door saloon. Did the French steal the design from the Italians or vice versa?

Dad bought one and I learned to operate manual shift on it. It was good looking and fun to drive, but mechanically it was junk. The VW Beetle was built way better.

Didnt get an intro to who the guy is. Usually there's an intro "Hi, I'm David and this is my 1965 Renault Caravelle". I guess if you did that, the whole video will be a rip of Petrolicious. Music choice could have been better with the video. Need work on the video shooting as they looked shaky in certain shots. Otherwise, cool looking car
