Your spark plug removal tool should have a piece of rubber inside of it that acts as a suction to take out the old plugs, admittedly it doesn't always work Also I've always been told that filters need to be fitted HAND TIGHT ONLY
I'm very sceptical about cone induction kits over the standard air box which on a 182 is good anyway, performance engines like cold air not warm air from under the bonnet.
Everyone has their own opinion on this. I think its only an issue when standing still, as when moving, air is rushing around the engine from the grills so it should be at a low temperature anyway. Plus the improved throttle response is noticeable and the noise is worth doing it for alone.
Engines like both warm and cold air for a balance of economy and power.... That's why the 172/182 airbox has 2 air feeds, one shorter taking on warm air from the bay and one longer in the wheel arch attached to the acoustic valve for cold air... If you've got a cone filter just make sure you've got a cold air feed pipe near the cone and alls good....👍🏻👌🏻
I hate to tell you this but its a myth really. I know multiple techs that have not pre oiled the filter seal and have never had a problem. Its just personal opinion, However I do pre oil the seals.
