Note: You can put the spare wheel in the trunk and use the anchor points to tie it down into place. I have a 5th black RS 18 spare wheel just like that.

We have a Renault Clio GT that we absolutely love (albeit with half the BHP). Only concern is the Gearbox which appears to be made of chocolate. Ensure you always have warranty just in case.

Had not read anything about the Getrag gearbox although the RS owned before had a gearbox computer failure. Thanks for watching and your comments.

I had a Mk 3 200 cup, great fun car. Came close to a Mk IV but was put off a little by the press they had, but actually on driving one, they are great. In the end I wanted something that also had rear head airbags and seat belt load limiters as well for a bit more safety. But overall I think these cars deserved a much better reception than they got. The problem I think was Renault were one of the first manufacturers in the segment to move to 5dr with auto and a turbo, which in time everyone one did. Plus you also lost the recaro option and the brembos. Every other manufacturer did pretty much the same but the mark IV Clio did it early. Under rated cars.

Absolutely agree. If Renault had launched the car as a Trophy with the quicker gear changes it would have been a little more welcome. The only car journalist that liked it at launch was Chris Harris. Good review and is on RU-vid. Thanks for watching and your comments.

@@LivetoDriveUK That review Harris did, is a true reflection, I rate his opinion, the gearbox talk is all rubbish in my eyes. It’s a great little family car. Day 2 in mine!

@@richard1galvin haha, last time I was nearer was for Clios and Coffee in Doncaster. Definitely have to meet up if in the area (or you are in Derbyshire).
