Had driven one of these in the past. The engine had a "kick" above 2500 rpm and the sound was diffrent above this value ;). One bad thing about this car was big turning diameter, so it was hard to manouver in tight places.
The case you are using is the master and the movano 2005 case. The engine sound of those cases is somewhat similar to the sound of the 2005 case Ducato, boxer and jumper motors.
It has to be 100 bhp engine version. I drive 145 bhp one and I'd probably lose feel in my right foot if I keep the engine below 1500 rpm all the time. It just hates it, goes great on 2000 rpm, but has enough torque from about 1700 to accelerate fairly soft.
Der T5 hat glaub ich 3090kg zul. Gesamtgewicht, das hab ich im Master "Leer". Es ist ja ein Wohnmobil, da fährt man ja so einiges an Schränken, Wasser, Gas, Töpfe, Photovoltaik, Abwasser, Wechselrichter, Toilette durch die Gegend^^. Wenn man allerdings richtig drauftritt geht der aber auch ganz gut nach Vorne.
Hi I have a question about this Master... I have the same one, and i see on your dashboard that you have the clock below the km. On my dash it doesn't show the clock, so do you know maybe what i need to click? And one more thing, does the engine sounds a lil bit strange below 2000 rpm to you too? My is 2008 and it has 280.000 km. Cheers :)
In this Master there is no way to change the layout of the Display. You can set the Time, reset the Tripmaster and change between tripmaster and total kilometers. Maybe there was some change between the years, mine was built in 2006. What engine do you have? Mine is the 2,5l. If you have a different engine this would explain the different noise. But one have to know that i always carry the weight of the motorhome with me, so it has always around 3000kg without any extra loading.
Matthias Weiland Mine is also a 2.5l DCI 120 hp. But I think I heard on this video, also when you were shifting the "strange noise" maybe it's just that the engine noise is like that below 2000 rpm. :) Maybe they changed the display in 2 years, like you said. Ja klar, das Gewicht hat natürlich sehr großen Einfluss auf die Beschleunigung, ich merke ja sogar ob Wasser drin ist oder nicht. Dann kommt es natürlich noch auf die Reifen-Felgen Kombination, die Getriebeüersetzung und zuletzt auch auf den Fahrer an. Evtl. auch auf die Motorsoftware :D
Kann es sein, dass das der Renault Master eine schlechte Beschleunigung hat? Weil er hat zwar mehr PS als ein VW T5, aber dieser beschleunigt wesentlich besser. Wäre gut zu wissen, wenn mich mal da jemand aufklären könnte.
Ich frag nur, weil ich bei der praktischen Fahrprüfung Kraftfahrerausbildung vom THW ein Renault Master hatte, der hat sich schwer getan beim Beschleunigen und beim Anfahren, war mein Gefühl. Also wird es wohl am Gewicht und der Beladung liegen oder irre ich mich da?

a healthy diesel engine should have its gears changed at 2500 3000 rpms, shifting it below that for a long period of time or driving at low rpms can block your EGR ( exhaust gas recirculation).
Oh, das tut mir leid, dabei hab ich doch nicht einmal Vollgas gegeben, wir fahren ja kein Autorennen. Dafür ziehst du mich Moppedmäßig ja dermaßen ab...
