Mein Gott Megane has 20 years. A lot of people complain about this model on diesel version, but I had it for 5 years (over 10 years ago) and it never broke down. 20 years car with only 120 HP 6MT doing 200 km/h - really good result ;)
I have the same car 1.9 dci 120 hp 2003 (hatchback version) with 330k km on the clock , I have it for like 8 years now and I can say that this car is great for daily or long trip driving too. All what this car wants is to take care a little bit more than other cars haha!! But i'm happy with it!!!!
This video proves any car can be fun. I had fun watching this video. Think about it: you're blasting down the highway in this, with your friends, music on, good times. Would you rather walk? I think not. Here in Finland cars and gasoline is the sixth most expensive in the world. I would be DELIGHTED to drive this, if the other option would be to walk. Thanks for the video.
i drive it exactly just to not walk , i'm stucked with this GARBAGE. worst car i ever got , my 1989 lada or old fiat 128 , compare with this wore ULTIMATE CARS .
Merci.
Honestly this was my first car, still remember the reg plate for it. Loved this engine, it's sound, it's grunt, and the fact that I was able to hurl this boat around corners like nothing else. The only quarrel I ever had with it was the insurance :/
Das ist auch mein erstes Auto , und hasse den motor geräusch werde als frau immer total angeglotzt wenn ich oder meine freundin in dem auto sind. Warum ist der mtor und gas eigentlich so empfindlich
@@Rj-b i think ur mixing up throttle sensitivity to the percieved feeling of throttle response and low rpm torque, pressing the throttle slightly at 2k rpm gives u much more torque output in a turbo diesel car rather than a petrol one so you feel nearly nothing in a petrol car and u feel a great response in a turbo diesel car. But that has nothing to do with the sensitivity of the throttle but the low rpm torque. Turbo diesel cars have small turbos that are spooled at very low rpms which warrants turbo diesel cars to have their maximum torque output at very low rpms, some turbo diesel cars have their maximum torque output as low as 2k rpms, whereas petrol cars have a much more linear and smoother torque curve where they have little torque in low rpms and maximum torque at approximately the range of 4-6k rpms so in a turbo diesel car pressing tha gas 40% at 2k rpm for 3 seconds makes the torque jump from lets say 120nm starting to 200nm ending whereas in a petrol car doing the exact same thing would maybe output 80nm starting to 110nm ending.
Good engine, but the best from Renault was the 1.9 dCi F9Q 732 featured in Megane 1 facelift. In my vision and from experience, the best Renault would be the Megane 1 with 1.9 dCi.
My first and actual car i kept this car since i was a rookie driver, except i don't have the 1.9 dci engine but the 1.5 dci with 80horse power not the sedan but 5 door version,i still enjoy driving it to this day,the only down size i view on the mk2 renault megane is the rear view being a bit too small and booth space other than that really good car, just need to maintain when it needs to and drive whenever you like wherever you like.
@@matthieu1805 I have this car also with 1.6 petrol. Diesel version witch I had from rent was 1.5. I don't seen the differend versions of the dashboard never before
what about chip on this engine? How much HP can be obtained after the remapping the ECU? And if compare this Renault to VW 2.0TDI, who is more fun & fast to drive?
