The problem with this car, this from video. Is that the pulley of the camshaft, has vary on it, which is broken, i have the same problem with mine but still runs easily with 205km/s, who knows the sound of that vary when its broken u can heard in video when he starts the engine.
@@C.I... Dephaser Pulley/Camshaft Pulley, both 1.6L and 2.0L petrol engines have VVT (variable valve timing). After a certain number of RPMs, the intake valves are opened for a bit longer with the help of this specific pulley, but due to how it's built (or was), the pulley is predestined to fail after a certain amount of kilometers and is making the engine do odd noises, worse than diesel engines, when you're starting up the car. It is recommended to be changed along with the timing belt kit.
Could need a new water pump too, that temp needle shouldn't be on 2nd line driving, soon as you moving that should sit on 1st line, 2nd line maybe sat in heavy traffic, could also be oil quality. Stick castrol gtx stop/start oil in and it might even sort your dephaser issue if its gunked up, i remember dephaser being noisy on my 2lvvt scenic premium oil change and 1500miles, started up after a trip and the rattle had gone it was whisper quiet to the point i had to check engine was running
I am pretty sure my 1.9 dci 120 hp is much faster till 170 kmh, I used to go to speed like that alot before, but now because of rules, regulations and cameras never do :) But just by memory it was faster.

The pleasure of driving a car is that right there, and not driving at 100 to save gas or fearing the car will break down, it's great to accelerate hard.
Still, that airbag issue should be fixed. Could be the wires under the steering wheel, wires on the passenger side or wires under the front seats. Please, check and fix! Nice car and thanks for the video!
had the same problem with a renault megane II sedan .. finally the problem was from water collected at the space under the carpets on the front seats .. likely there was no damage on the wires their connections and the body (rust)

@Thorsten Lippscheit I had this car (grandtour) with 4speed AT box and it is faster in higway. If you use Kickdown, third gear goes from 110-180 kph . This engine need high rpm.
