I like the wavey scratch lines, but get one that has the wider flat wires 1/8 inch wide. This will make a bigger gap for the double coat scratch to grab on to....😊 Make sure that proper bonding between the two coats is optimized. PS, I like the electric float machine 👍 Good job! I am plasterer 1963😊
Nice work. This is the silicone render stuff right? Lots of places round the they use metal guides at intervals, so section by section, to guide and level off. Would that be better for beginners? What's the round power tool? Many thanks.
What mix do you use ,what sand to cement ratio, and any think else you put in , would like to know as am going to give it a go on my back wall am just a DIY have a go see how it goes guy 😂
Lovely job, nothing worse than seeing newly rendered walls that are a pile of pooh due to imposters that have never read a book or taken a word of advice or training from anyone. Top job.
finish top coat before scratch coat set is something i never really do unless it’s going to be on a farm or something but maybe it worked for you looks good
I originally started watching plastering videos about 18mnths ago, after I moved into my (old) new home and NEEDED to learn. I soon realized that it's something that should be left to the experts and only attempted small and/or outdoor areas myself. I'm glad to report that it turned out great and that I am completely hooked. Now I jump at any chance to practice! Your vids are amazing and your talent is beyond that. A true Master of your Craft! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! BTW How long have you been at it?
Ha what Great story! Well done my friend - is lovely to hear that it’s helped you. And congratulations on your results…fair play. I’ve been Plastering for roughly 14 years by the way 👍
Won't last long without drain screen behind it...the long screed/scratcher board is pointless without track to get levels. Decreases float time I guess
