My head was about to explode trying to figure out why one translation I had used "subjective" reality and the other used "objective" reality -- I had no idea he was using the word in a way different from our modern use. Does Cartesian 'objectivity' roughly equate to language? It sounds like it but when I proposed such comparisons of being/language to my phil teacher in college he got agitated. Not sure if I learned my lesson.
