It's always awesome to see Mama Sylvia and Grandma Yetta with Fran. It brings back wonderful memories of all the laughter I had, watching The Nanny. Especially when Sylvia and Yetta are on. Miss you wonderful ladies, but thanks to RU-vid, we can watch you forever. xxx
Loved the show ! The 70s-90s were absolutely amazing for sitcoms. So good that you couldn’t even watch all of them, because there were so many. The Nanny was one of them. As an adolescent growing up in the 90’s, I watched mostly teenager based shows like Boys Meets World, Family Matters, Step by Step, Full House, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and so on. Couldn’t really fit The Nanny in my television schedule but I truly loved the reruns. Absolutely brilliant ! Sylvia still looks the same, and I wouldn’t recognize the actress that played Yetta. They did a great job. Fran even today is a total bombshell.
I love these three women and I love that we even see that lil blip of Peter Marc Jacobson by the audience the producer of The Nanny AND Fran Drescher’s ex husband. What a beautiful time of their lives these people got to share together and share with the rest of us. ❤️
I was crying from laughter when Renee was describing the day when nanny Fran was born and she says what she ordered to eat. She said :"I got over scrambled, but I m not a complainer" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣in the middle of description of how Fran was born on a jewishhollyday and there were very few doctors in the shift because many of them are jewish and maybe they switched the babies in the hospital
LOVED LOVED the chemistry the three of them had. Really would have you think that they were really related. And Grandma Yetta, was the highlight with her funny sarcasm.
Fran, Renee, and Ann; what a team. I didn't even know Fran had a talk show. I remember Ann as Millie, and Mama in Grumpier Old Men, and Renee with her husband doing comedy when I was a child. The stardom on this segment is over the top!
I'm probably the only black guy in the world who actually liked The Nanny show.I was about 12.I actually liked her weird voice.Variety is the spice of life.Time flies,I'm in my 30s now....crap!!! Whole foods and organics will keep me young,I will defy aging.
Keepskatin You're not the only one. The Nanny was one of my favorite shows in the 90s. That sitcom was like a well oiled machine. All the parts and elements worked well together. Without one, it wouldn't have been successful as it was. Fran and that voice, the interaction between these three, Niles and CC, Fran doting on the kids, Mr. Sheffield and Miss Fine. Such an awesome show!
I so hope that season 4 through 6 of The Nanny will become available soon on DVD! I play the first three seasons very often; I love them. They're all fabulous actresses, but Ann Guilbert is just amazing. For so many years we heard only her characters' voices, not her real voice: I thought she was really a New Yorker! She's so convincing, and so funny! Her daughter, Hallie Todd, is wonderful too; she inherited her mother's talent and charisma.
She was - just before she died she had a recurring role in "Life in Pieces" as Dianne Wiest's character's mother, Gigi, and when she passed they wrote her death into the show.
I can't express how hard they made me laugh! Over all Renee, that is like a beacon to me, I love that woman, she's MY Elizabeth Taylor And I´m in constant awe about how Fran and Peter remain always together, they have a wonderful relation, even thought years go by and they're not married, they get to work together in peace ...they are such an inspiration And Yetta of course, majestic I wish I'd be able to share a tea or sth with The Nanny cast, does anyone feel they are like your own family as well??
How is Renee Taylor to Elizabeth Taylor. They have the same last name, and Elizabeth Taylor was an actress too but I do not understand the comparison. How are they your family?
