Another classic Ocean arcade port. I owned the C64 version, which I quite enjoyed, but there's no denying the graphics in that version are nothing like as good as the Amstrad; it looks amazing! There's more frames of animation per sprite, and I love the attention to detail in the character sprites, conveying the sense of light versus dark, and even bringing texture to their clothes!
It plays as well as the C64, although suffers from the same limitation - you have to use the CPC keyboard to punch, kick or jump, regardless of whether you're using a joystick or not; not a problem playing on an emulator where you have the keyboard right in front of you, but still awkward back in the day if, like me, you had to sit on the floor in front of the TV.
I have to say, Fred Gray's music is pretty darn good as well, plus you get simultaneous music and effects!
