Hey those limb risers you made yourself are waaaaay better than the valkyrie ones I have. You wouldn't want to make me a pair like that for a charge would you? I'd pay you upfront of crouse.
I'm just wondering how useful the snorkel would actually be, if your in water that deep you got more problems then hydrolockin your motor. Your whole elecritlal system and ecu.... The snorkel looks badass and so does your jeep.
Yeah this snorkel is more for sand dunes and shallow rivers. Nothing stupid. The renegade isn’t water proof by any means. Always be safe and smart when doing anything involving water
Good thing about the snorkel is you get a ram air effect along with nice cold air. Little fyi I use a hair dryer on the badges to help the double sided tape realse along with fishing wire
Hey please try to contact me I have a really good question there’s a thermistor on the passenger side And I takeoff my doors in the summer and this winter when the door is open to much the check engine light for the thermostat comes on but then the check engine light comes on and it prevents me from going into four-wheel-drive mud snow and sand and the temperature on the renegade still works and everything else and then the check engine light turns off after a few times of starting it up and driving around but I was wondering if you came into the same problem with the thermistor
Hey man just subscribed I'm actually from California and just moved out to DFW hard to find places to wheel out here compared to when my backyard was the desert =/. Any way where did you get the 4" light pod mounts I've been looking for something like that
Dang it Coulton (apologies if I misspelled it), you keep making me want to jack up and modify my renegade further and further, but it's my daily driver for 80+ miles a day. How has all you've done to this point affected your fuel economy if you don't mind me asking? It's looking awesome.
Chimichanga Tv holy cow, yeah I can't afford that unfortunately. Ah well, a few more years once I'm done with school and driving so much I'll be doing these upgrades. It's looking great man, hope to see more videos of you taking it offroad
I’m running the daystar 1.5” lift with 2” spacers, with factory Trailhawk wheels, on BF Goodrich 225/65r17 Ko2 tires. I don’t really recommend the 2” spacers because it requires have modifications to make them work but it can be done and if you want a higher lift I recommend Avid over ATP.
No you don’t if you go with 225/65r17. Any bigger and you risk hitting the strut tower. Which would be fixed by adding wheel spacers. If you plan to do a lot of off-roading I’d highly recommend 2” lift due to the fact it will give you more clearance in the end.
Or just get a different offset wheel set. The stock wheels come at +44mm offset. You could just get wheels that are +20mm offset and that pushes your tires out .8 inches. Unless you just absolutely want to use spacers. But I personally prefer fewer components.
You need to take that back off, if you haven't already . Use a buttload of silicon sealant with a q-tip and rub it all over the edges in the holes you drilled, because otherwise you have just exposed bare metal to the air. Then put some more sealant on your screws and the pieces interfacing with your fenders that you've drilled, then put the pieces all back together, and remove any of the remaining silicon that is squeezed out. Even if you don't care because you'll sell it in a couple years, the next owner will appreciate stopping the rust. The other question I think you should have asked yourself before installing the snorkel is "how much of the vehicle can be submerged before the air intake is a problem". I think you'll find that the vehicle is not properly sealed, particularly the electrical system under the hood, to the poing that you'd be able to drive with water up to the glass. It would have already intruded into the cabin and stalled your engine from the battery and fuse box being submerged.
Without this video, I don't think I'd have any clue how to install mine. AVID's instructions are absolutely awful. And their customer service is trash.
