Yang is the only Fighting type that is Super-Effective against Flying types

If Monty was alive and whatever the result had been he would have been satistied with the final result because he always had a desire to have a rwby character in "Death Battle". I must be one of the few persons that believes that this Death Battle was in part a tribute to him.

When the person's theme song comes on, it's like when Ash turns his hat around.... s**** about to go down!

To me it looks like Yang was just having a fun fight... Until the hair... You mess with the hair then someone dies

I think my fav thing about this death battle when watching reactor to it, is how people react to Yang falling hair. People who react to it, you know seen RWBY, lol. One guy i watch thought it was over after Tifa final move, which was extra funny too.

This death battle lead me into rwby and I am happy that I watched it

The minute Yang survived those Limit Breaks, you know Tifa was fucked bc Semblance.

"We got this queued up here" ME: "Queue is just the letter Q followed by four silent letters"

I love how the death battle people actually did the math to find out how tough Yang was with what might seem like a simple punch through a pillar or the food fight where she got knocked into the sky

The best part about them saying that Yang goes Super Saiyan, is that THAT'S WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS. In what's known as Yang's Theme or "I Burn" some lyrics of the song are "Kick my ass? I'm World Class, and Super Saiyan now!"

Fun fact: the fight music for the first part is "It's all about me" which is from the game that Snake vs Sam's first two battle music tracks are from

I love the math at the end, and the bloody walk-off with the banner, is accompanied by the song 'Gold,' which is about how much Yang admires and loves her little sister.

For this death battle, they got yang's real voice actress to do the lines.

a lot of people thought this was one sided because Rooster Teeth and ScrewAttack are partners.

so happy u guys finally reacted to one of the most awesome death battles up to date. i love both RWBY and FF VII, and Tifa and Yang are both my #1 favorite characters in their respective series, but i was very happy with the outcome, especially the most vicious, epic neck snaps of all time. I think it was fair and that the win could have gone to either one. I think Tifa should have timed her limit breaks better, like wait till yang's health is like 25% and then unleash it all on her non-stop.

This death battle was awesome in two ways for me. 1. It has good choreography in the fight just like RWBY. 2. It answered my question of what RWBY x Dead Fantasy would look like.

I wonder what a ssj2 or ssj3 yang would look like.

I don't think Yang was trained by Qrow seeing that Qrow doesn't have the hand to hand combat capabilities, but Tai does, so I think Yang was actually trained by Tai. It makes sense. P.S. 2019

Yeah, there were a lot of Final Fantasy fans who were butthurt over this Death Battle. Mostly they were mad that Tifa didn't get better materia (even though SA gave Tifa materia she used in a Square Enix and thus canon game), and that they were using stats from Advent Children where she was weaker than in endgame FF7. Since its impossible to get usable "real world" stats from an RPG, I didn't mind that. Also SA gave her endgame gear, which is a lot better than they gave Cloud for his Death Battle. So, even though many FF fans disagree, I (a fan of both) thought they were pretty fair.

People are so salty that Yang won. Here's the thing: Yang is just more durable. Tifa survived a supernova? No she didn't. If it was a real supernova, it wouldn't do damage; it would kill you instantly. And it can be used more than once, CAN'T KILL YOU, and everything that was blown up in the attack is perfectly fine. Sorry, but I don't think the lifestream can resurrect other planets. Yang got beat by Neo? Yes, after she'd been fighting all day with only a few hours of sleep. To compare, that's like being underlevelled and low in HP and then deciding to fight a Marlboro. Is it a tough enemy? Not at all if you know what you're doing. But going into the fight like that, you WILL lose. Yang survived TERMINAL VELOCITY! Ya know, that fall that kills 99.9% of things? Was it for the sake of comedy? yes. But you don't see anybody but the butthurt FF fanboys declaring it non-canon. Yang also got knocked THROUGH (not smashed through from the top like SA showed, instead smashing the pillar through the middle, rather than snapping it or crushing it. This doesn't require as much force, but it does more damage) not one, but 3 pillars. So multiply that number we got by 3. And her aura wasn't even depleted. Oh! AND she took several punches from the mech that sent her through solid concrete. Final Heaven? Not as powerful as everyone says. The explosion is about 3/4 of Sephiroth's body and about 3.5 Sephiroths tall, making it MUCH weaker than a nuke, if the explosion alone is anything to go by. Tifa fought Ruby and Emerald weapons? No she didn't. It's canon that CLOUD fought them, but his party members are not canonically specified so we can't use that feat. Unless the canon states that Tifa was there to have a hand in it, it didn't happen. Well, not to her anyways. Oh, and then there's the "Yang is weak to kicks" argument. She's weak to enemies who SPECIALIZE in kicks. Tifa doesn't specialize in them, she hasn't mastered any kind of kicking fighting style, she focuses on punches. Her limit break? Yes, she builds up strength as the fight goes on, but here are some problems with it: 1. Her power resets after she uses her limit break. 2. She's already at death's door by the time she unleashes it due to how much damage she had to take to accumulate it. Meanwhile Yang's power just keeps rising until she loses consciousness. And even then, she gets up very quickly every time that's happened. She didn't in volume 3 because she lost her arm and that severely hindered her "quick recovery" skill, as I like to call it. Point is, Tifa just couldn't keep up with Yang's energy and power.

Hey fellas! first of all great job on the reaction and yes I believe they got it right. Yang's aura is just too durable. and she got blasted through THREE pillars, not just one, it takes less force, but hurts more, and the terminal velocity fall thing too. Tifa just didn't have enough to power to take Yang's Aura, whish she had to do before causing any REAL damage. And a reaction suggestion, I know its old, but can you guys do the Garra vs Toph Death Battle?

I don't know, to me it seems if they take in the joke ability to survive an uppercaut into the sky for Yang, they also have to include surviving a (or several) Supernova(s) for Tifa, and I don't see how either has the damage output to top that, you'd need thousands of Yang and Tifa clones ganging up on her just to break one of her hairs if she can survive a Supernova.
