Fun fact, the company that made Bubsy 3D eventually got bought by another company, and they ended up making Uncharted on the Vita years later. I'm serious.

Fun fact, a reviewer named Nitro Rad reviewed this game, and revealed that Bubsy 3D had been in development way before anything of Mario 64 and Crash Bandicoot were even shown.

I would actually recommend watching SomeCallMeJohnny's review on the Bubsy Series. He goes into more detail on each game and mentions the pilot of a cartoon !

9:26 Am I the only one mildly infuriated that the east wing is on the left and the west wing is on the right? I know that could be correct if you assume we're looking at it from north, but why needlessly jumble the cardinal directions like that in a 2D game? If for whatever reason the player actually needs to interpret directions like that, it's just gonna confuse them.

To be honest, I kind of like Knack but I agree that it wouldn’t be the first game I pick. I like Knack as a concept of a character, I like the world but it is not a good game. An ok game? Yes. A good game? No.

@@hankglidden1463 I think the problem was that it didn't live up to the hype. I remember before it came out, everyone was talking about how amazing it was gonna be, and then it just turned out to be within the average to good range. Not terrible, but it was supposed to be amazing. It basically got pulled under the wheels of its own hype train, and the sequel was barely noticed by anyone.

Not particularly related but personally as far as a first person single joystick game is concerned I don't think it gets any better than Metroid Prime, that game was super fun and quite intuitive despite having a single joystick (granted the Game Cube joystick was godly compared to the N64's but still) A fine example of single joystick first person done right. sorry for rambling, have a nice day.

Bubsy 1 is the only good one. Genesis lets you look around actually. Granted wishes and all: RAGE GAME. Hard as nails floating through sky and past water but kinda fun if you arent on the receiving end of _those moss ball platforms._ You know the ones

Just got here from recommended, but old JonTron videos tend to be insanely inaccurate. The Bubsy video is the supreme example where most of JonTron's critiques are either marginal to the games or just plain useless.
