I’ve got this on my 2004 996 C4S. Fits perfect but for it to work really well you need to have a metal plate between your phone and case. Otherwise, weak magnet. Great video by the way. It’s a lot of trouble for a” Simple “ install.

I had a devil of a time putting my panel back on...I thought it was because it is leather covered (‘99 w full leather interior). Still doesn’t sit quite flush but was reluctant to risk further damaging the leather. But thanks to your video I think I will give the trimming a try.

I would try trimming it just take it slow once get take enough off it should fit with relative ease. It might be having leather is what causes it. If the mount was extended away from the council by 1/4 inch that would solve most problems but not all. I still like the mount though

I guess I got lucky. My 2003 required no modifications to fit. You’ll like having it. So easy to pop on the phone with that magnet.

There maybe a difference in the 996.1 to 996.2 panels. Or the center council. It would interesting to compare
