It's apparent she's never been to New Orleans by saying "shotgun houses" are unique to Louisville only, New Orleans is FULL of shotgun houses and unique to New Orleans is the SHOTGUN DOUBLE house which means that it's two "shotgun" family units under one single roof with both units separated by a common interior wall between the two!
She said they are unique to Louisville not that they originate in Louisville. They are unique to Louisville, considering the ones here are a bit different than other places and the uses when built. JS.
@Marisha White, well, I myself didn't imply from her statement that 'shotgun houses' ORIGINATED in Louisville, my assertion was her saying that they were UNIQUE (only one of its kind) only to Louisville (KY.) meaning in my interpretation is that other cities doesn't have this type of design and architecture, that's all I'm saying. 😉
