I feel like once Natalie sees it all done, she mighttt have a hard time selling it. I would have such an emotional attachment because it is the first house she flipped/ is flipping. It will literally look so beautiful.
Your content deserves to be pushed more!!! You always create the most productive, motivating, and entertaining content! Absolutely love this series, very excited to see the entire process
It's crazy to see how home trends have changed over the years. So much more emphasis on master suites for normal houses. It's going to look amazing I can't wait to see if the other rooms/bathrooms/closets are going to be more luxe as well.
I think you made the right call with the dining room. And yes, our baby slept in our room for the first year, then we moved him to his own room. I’d much rather have the dining area than the bedroom.
You’re doing a great job! I’m sure if you keep doing this you might look back in 10 years and see things you would do differently but that’s how you learn! Everyone had an opinion but they can take those ideas and renovate their own house!
Also I cannot wait until you hit 300k Natalie! You’re so close and I am so happy more people are finding your channel through this amazing house series ☺️☺️
Y’all are doing great designing! It’s going to look amazing. Check out the concept “prospect and refuge”. It’s exactly what you’re considering with the floor plan. With sight lines from the bedroom and windows from the neighbors. Looking forward to seeing the next update.
Sad to see there wont be a case opening but hopefully you'll have a very nice sight line through the space. Kind of makes me fee like he made the suggestion to make his job easier.
Not sure how far along y’all are in the reno now, but for more light in the master bedroom, you should put another high window (clerestory) where the soon to be closed up window is! It would also frame the bed really nicely.
My dad bought an old house and regretted it. Only because of the galvanized piping system is so outdated. So hopefully you have a updated plumbing system/pipe system. Or if you can get them updated now while the house is gutted. Hopefully your AC and heater and water heater are all up-to-date as well those are expensive to replace for people so if you can you might want to do that now too.😊 i’m sure you’ve heard all of this from your contractors and everything. But I just want to give you that piece of advice because it does suck having to pay all that money when you’re not expecting to :/
I just bought my first home/fixer upper here in North Carolina and I would be so grateful if you can share the list of companies you used for quotes on the construction.
could you do a video on your finances in redoing the house? im sure you guys have some connections with like contractors, i think you said your parents renovate/flip houses for a living? realy loving this series so far.. also wondering idk if the neighbourhood has naturally the 50's style of home, does that affect how much you plan to put into the house - idk what market of renter you are looking for like younger/ older (since i assume its an older/family oriented neighbourhood based on how the previous owner had its decor?)
dont know if you gonna put closet in master closet but if the owner wanted a nursery or another bedroom they only need to change openning of it. close the master bathroom side open the hallway side and voila you have the 4th bedroom you dont even need to get rid of the dining room 😆😍
I'm not 100% on anything right now. I always would renovate though with potential sellers in mind even if I was living in it. I just know I'm not renting it out.
Did you guys increase the roof pitch to achieve the higher ceilings? Like on the outside, is the roof steeper? Just wondering bc im looking into do something like that on my home
i know nothing about design but like what if the front door opened the other way so that you were walking into the living area instead of the dining kitchen?
Did you and your sister both bought the house? it feels like it's hers too because she keeps saying how "we" did this and that and "my"samples haha:)) just curious xx love this series ♥
