You can always add another oven and stove top if you find you need to cook on different temperatures. I use to sell real estate and there were many kitchens with large families who had multiple ovens and ranges. They were Italian families! They love to cook. I also have a friend who is Italian and we are always talking about cooking. I use to never cook but since started watching your channel which I love, I am now cooking fresh meals for myself. Mostly Italian and French (I also watch Chateau Diaries) in which they do a lot of French cooking. I am 76 so you have me eating healthy! When I was younger I was in sales and sold multimillion deals so I eat at the best restaurants who served the freshest and best ingredients. I was spoiled but since watching your channel I am taking better care of myself. You are such an inspiration. Glad your family is there for you. Your Mom and Dad are amazing people. You are so fortunate to have been raised the way you were! Because of that you bring us all joy so thank your Mother and Father for me for raising such a lovely daughter!

It's really not so much a brain fog from exhaustion, it's an all consuming new love that takes over every fiber of your being. Unlike any love you have ever felt, this will shake you to your core as a new Mother. This episode was really special, Kylie. God bless and keep you and your precious family.

Just think of it as a 'interlude' instead of a distraction when your firstborn adjusts to life outside the quiet safe place of your womb. I personally believe many young women who are new Mother's to be are sometimes overwhelmed with the amount of advice and information available and offered for newborn care. You are built with the intuitive gift as a Mother. Think of it as a lovely rhythm. Those positive thoughts will make a powerful difference through the adjustment segment. Love radiates. Tenderness is a tangible power. Deep breath and peaceful, beautiful music helps sustain the atmosphere in the home and the heart. You will do wonderful Kylie and Guito will be a loving Father. I love the kitchen shelving! You could always leave the shelving open and live with it for a few months before deciding on curtains. If the cans and jars don’t bother you, then you don’t have to expend the extra energy making curtains:) Someone else mentioned using baskets. That could be a nice option to keep baking ingredients together so you can just pull down a basket full of all the items you need when baking. Whatever you decide will be perfect! Do what works best for you!! BTW, you are glowing!!

I would 1) transfer as much as I could to decorative clear containers 2) hide the messy stuff in baskets with cute labels attached. These baskets could also be dispersed among all the shelves to add to the decorative look. You, of all people, will make it look beautiful!

I think you can use the shelves open at the bottom and just put all the canned goods neatly and jars for beans, flour, sugar,cornmeal,etc. Your kitchen should be one that shows off who you are…and you love to cook. The only thing to think about is when your sweet baby boy starts walking you don’t want him to grab things off the lower shelves that are breakable. Baby proofing your home will be challenging to say the least!

All is nice in the kitchen (love the oven!!), and idea of the shelves. I just have one small remark: once they start walking around toddlers love grabbing what is in their reach, opening cupboard doors, pulling things from the shelves. My daughter was no different than the boys I knew.. it took some time explaining to her that she's got her toys and I have mine.. but you will see - they always prefer things that belong to grownups.. check with your mom!!

Cypresses in Greece are considered appropriate only for cemeteries! Inspired by the Italian countryside, I planted a cypress when my ( first and unique so far) grandson was born and I love it!

It's natural instinct to nest at the end of your pregnancy. You may even get a burst of energy before the baby comes. Mostly rest and take care of yourself. No stress about a video each week. For the top shelves, I think having a delicate light linen curtain could nice to hide cans etc. Life will get messy with baby so when u want less visual clutter you can just get rid of it by closing it. Mum of a 3 year old and 8 month old ;) Also, think of where you’ll put his high chair in kitchen too. I like to keep one in my kitchen and dining room. He can be entertained watching you move around kitchen and trying your food. xx

So glad you are feeling good and your health has improved for delivery of your baby. What a relief I’m sure. That chocolate cake looked delicious. Love blackberries but I think raspberries would also be amazing. If you put curtains on the shelves, it should either match or complement the curtain under the sink. Or maybe some lace curtains that sort let you see through them. If your pantry will be neat, then leave it open. Curtains would only be needed if it was gonna be messy or disorganized. You don’t strike me as disorganized. Either way, I’m sure it will look amazing as you have great taste and style. So happy your parents are back. Enjoy your time with them. I would suggest using large baskets for storage of these items. you could pick them up to move them when cleaning the floor and when stocking your items or selecting your items to use them. Or your dad could build custom-size wood boxes with lids in the same stain color. Your toddler will be exploring under the shelves when you are cooking....

What a cute baby bump! 👶 Try organizing the shelves without a curtain. You might want to get some baskets for the less disciplined packages. If things are stacked well, it should work. Not that you asked but I like the Ogee edge. I think no matter where the edge is placed, you will see the top metal strip. If the edge is out too far, it will not be reinforced. No support for the edge.

So agree about the desire/urgency as a pregnant mother to be able to have everything done before the baby arrives. Mom says it's called 'nesting'. I pray you're able to do so, that all of the builders will take that into account and will compassionately get along with one another, getting the jobs done in a timely manner for the new parents. Your mom & dad jumping right in to getting your pantry done after arriving, clearing out the jumbled mess for you, what a blessing. The little curtain would give it a different look, which would be quite nice, either way, eager to see what y'all decide. Love following the whole process and can hardly wait for next week! 😊

☀️hi, Our nose is rounded. Mold and dirt, oil can get into that crease on the other type. We don't have any metal exposed because aluminum becomes pittted over years.

A friend of mine said, "Yes, newborns sleep a lot, but never when YOU want to sleep!" I predict that you will find the joy in all things baby, b/c you seem to be a person who just naturally finds the joy in everything, both the journey & the destination. I wouldn’t bother with the curtain. I wouldn’t want open shelves all round the kitchen, but one “slightly messy” corner is perfectly acceptable , especially with the rustic shelves. Here in Spain they like to put little crochet edges to them which looks nice. Maybe they do it in Italy too.

I’d suggest baskets -oblong or square that fit on the shelves to store some items. Love the shelves-Kylie you’re in the best stage of pregnancy -anticipating the birth of your little one-please relax. and dont overdue because once the baby arrives your focus will be different. Yay, shallow shelves, no hidden goods. I also use those little IKEA white metal sort of lift shelves along the back, a can fits underneath and I put storage containers cocoa salt etc on top. Sympathy, heat is so much hotter when you are pregnant, volume to surface area ratio, so you can’t cool as well. My first baby was December in Townsville, if you are Australian that means something! 100% humidity and burning sun.

A tip I heard recently, is to get babys used to noice. When a baby is born, we all seem to want to be quiet all the time "because of the baby", but I saw a few videos recently of people raising their babys making noise like normal, so their babys didn't wake up just from everyday life sounds. I found it extraordinary

When I was a toddler………I looove playing with the pots and pans and can’s on the base of the pantry of my grandmothers…….

Right now everything looks a mess and unfinished. But soon it will all come together and you will have the most amazing home for your family. Just take care of each other and the new baby (pretty soon!) We will all be here when you're ready.

IMO, no curtain on the (very cool) kitchen shelf.Will create a cluttered feeling.Just put pasta, baking stuff, other stuff in the large mason jars,other sealed containers and add canned stuff in full view.

Kylie, on the pool,you really need a lip to grip on to and for aesthetics too.When you are in the pool with your child,they will need to grip on to something when learning to swim and playing.Why are they putting in a lining when it's a new concrete pool? I have had several poured concrete pools and have never had a liner.Kylie,you look great and your skin is tanned and glowing!

I know the brackets are enough to hold the wood shelves. I think the wood shelves will start to sag in the middle. I would put another bracket in the center of the shelve. The wood will give to the center, even without anything sitting on the shelve. You cannot defy the law of gravity.

Depending upon how early the baby gets mobile, those cans will be placed higher and higher. My little guy never dropped them on his feet, only on mine. All the best to you all. Bless.

Regarding the kitchen, I understand the those who want all of the shelves exposed, but they don’t understand how hard it is to clean and dust such shelves. You need curtains on the bottom for the many items, you don’t have time to clean all that. Thank you for continuing to provide your beautiful videos while you’re pregnant. 🫶

A few notes... The weather is not the only thing affecting your temperature. That little bambino is adding to your heat... Expect the best, when the baby comes. My experience was a breeze. I was in good shape and didn't get tired. Plus, both of my babies slept a lot and just fit into our routine. If it's a bit more difficult than that, you can deal with it then... As far as the curtain for the kitchen shelf goes, add it after you've worked without one for a while to see if you feel the need. Blessings!!!
