Found this little gem on our search for morning coffee. It"s a nice little townhouse located on a quiet street just around the coener from many shops and eateries. Carmona Estates is a growing community with many activities and amenities to enjoy.

To qualify to rent these homes, you generally need to do check writing and provide checks from a Philippine Bank account post dated for the term of your lease. Sometimes homeowners association fees are added to your water bill too. Electric might be $200 a month depending on inverter aircons. You might have to purchase aircons and heating elements for the shower yourself in many cases. Owners are sometimes reluctant to rent only to foreigners for a variety of reasons.

@@daneenlife where I live you don't need post dated checks. And there is no way I would post date my checks.

Is is hot in the Philippines, cold shower is a blessing. I’ll never forget when I went to Vietnam for the first time, it was 100 degrees at midnight and 100 percent humidity. It would rain during the day and stop, the steam bath routine was getting old fast. I would stand in the cold shower loving every second

That is very true. The last time we were in the Philippines, we had no hot water and showered with the tabo, it was nice to cool off at the end of the day. I think maybe people who like hot showers are also using a lot of A/C 😂

It's a nice little house, but I would need a hot shower and aircon. You say they rent it by month, but that seems pretty impractical to me in view of the fact that it's unfurnished. Nobody is going to move in their own furniture for just one month. But apart from that, I really like it.
@lfcbpro

I think the idea is that you pay per month, but you rent long term. For that price, compared to other countries it seems really good, I don't know about Phil prices though.
@daneenlife
@daneenlife 17 дней назад
You’re right. Every country is different. And some people don’t know that rents are negotiable in the Philippines. Nobody pays the asking price 👍🏼

@@lfcbpro That price is too expensive, at least for foreigners. I wouldn't even live there if it were for free or they paid me rent for me to live there. The music from the neighbors 24/7 makes that place super expensive.

@@daneenlife maybe Americans can accept this type of housing, but Western European have a different understanding of quality. And yes, I have been often enough to Philippines. No car port? Two essentials for anything over 8,500 are parking and air conditioning (at least a large opening with electric ready). Philippines bedrooms are usually small and don't accommodate anything larger than a full bed. This place is particularly small.

Agree. For some people like me who prefers convenience and always in a hurry, I would definitely look for an aircon and a carport for my car’s safety.
