Renting an apartment in Edinburgh in 2023 

I arrived to UK in September, and immediately started to look for a flat to rent.
But in the beginning I could not even get a viewing!
Why?
The housing situation in Edinburgh is dramatic. More and more students coming every year to study here and there is not enough students accommodations to fit them. They start to compete with professionals, many of which are coming for work from abroad or from other cities.
