Thank you so much! That was such a pro-level review that I got sold on this Reolink Argus 2e that I bought 2 cameras and 2 solar panels. Thanks again! 👍🏼👍🏼
Just got this - great little camera. Only challenging part for me was the clunky binding the camera to the cloud acct. Plus I’m not getting notifications. It also now has detection for people, cars and other. Use SD card plus 7 day free cloud, recording everything nicely. Also got the solar panel which is working great! Nice review 👍👍👍
i found this on ebay and the top review for my search on u tube was you. nice no bullshit review, the one i was looking at had a solar panel for out door charging, yeah it could have this and that but at the end of the day its a spiffy bit of gear. the one i was looking at was $99AU free postage and imo good value, your review helps heaps, thx. regards
Thank you for the review! In your opinion, is this camera good to capture wild life in your garden, hogs, birds, cats...or is the motion sensor not good enough?
Great review. I own two earlier model Argus 2 for our cabin. I needed wireless/outdoor since we turn power off when not using it (internet does stay on)These cameras for the money are pretty decent. Battery life & picture quality is good. My only complaint has been the motion detection field of range(kind of important) While my indoor ( YI )camera will detect movement at a good distance, the Reolinks are terrible. I have had numerous emails to customer service only to have them do the standard "try this" replies. Bottom line is the cameras are only good for close activation -As you measured - and they claim 33 feet. Maybe, sometimes? PIR sensitivity does not fix this - it can sometimes make it worse.
Do you know what is the wifi range of this camera? I would need it only the nights when i leave my telescope and astrophotography setup outside. This camera would be great because of the strap so i can switch the location easily as my setup is in different places in the yard based on which DSO i am photographing. So it would be important to have a good wifi range to make sure i receive the alerts over night in case someone would want to have a closer look at my setup (and my german shepherd would decide to sleep instead if check on the intruder.)
Thanks for the review. Could I turn off the spotlight/led for night vision recording? I want to record an area of the garden but don't want passers-by to be lit up at night.
Has anyone had trouble connecting their camera to router? I have tried loads of times but it don't work, contacted customer service but they aren't much of a help ☹️
Use this video can be tricky to set up, you need good wifi connection, same on camera and phone tablet.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RQ-H4K4wrHE.html&ab_channel=Reolink
I accidentally deleted the camera and now all I get is the beeping as soon as I turn the on switch when trying to reinstate it .Any thoughts on getting it back on line !
Good question! If we have not answered your question within our detailed hands-on review, we suggest reaching out to the company directly to get more information. Thanks for understanding!
Consumer Reports has a credible review of this camera. The cons include; 1Customer pays for return even if defective 1Defective cell data connection 1Inconsistent PIR motion detection 1There is no customer service telephone number
Who needs constant recording? Most people only need recording when the camera detects movement. I have this camera it’s great does what it’s meant to & it’s not complicated to set up or use.
@@The_Crusty_Old_Hag_Next_Door video surveillance without constant recording is only suitable to spy on your cat. I am talking about security systems and this camera is not capable for that. Even motion detection videos are garbage because the sensor is sloppy and video duration is limited to absurd 8 seconds.
@@ukqwerty999 Also this camera uses proprietary protocol for data transfer which makes in incompatible with any standard Cloud/FTP/VDR solutions. And if you store your recordings in the built in SD-card I have bad news for you - your security system is nothing but a fake. So again, this camera as well as other Reolink products is a cheap toy to spy on cats, nothing more.
