Ok first I too got a ton of inspiration to start my crafting business from binge watching Sallie! Second I got a huge push to add acrylics to my brand new Etsy shop because of you! Love your videos, really have been helping me get prepped…. just quick question about the acrylic paint. Are you sealing the paint with anything or just paint one side and vinyl on the other side? I was just wondering if the paint would scratch off without sealer?
Hi!!! Question, what finish did you choose for the paint you chose at Lowes?? I remember you saying that matte is better for acrylic paint to avoid bubbling when sealing with the polycrylic. You’re so inspirational, thanks for the video!
You’re so sweet! Thank you for your kind words, Dorothy! I think the Valspar paint samples only come in satin finish! That’s what the paint dept told me last time I was there. You can buy the matte finish in the larger paint cans though! But honestly the satin finish in the Valspar paint does not bubble at all with the polycrylic clear coat applied afterwards. It may be what they put in the Valspar paint that makes it smoother! I’m not 100% sure but so far I haven’t had any issues with bubbling on those two products (Valspar and Poly) 🤍

Hi Beni! You don’t have to use polycrylic if you don’t want to! It’s just an extra step to ensure the paint doesn’t get scratched off or affected by the weather if the sign or acrylic piece is going to be outdoors! Thank you for watching! ❤️
