My books wouldn't fit on my bookshelves so you know what I needed... I got another one! I decided to film myself reorganizing my whole bookshelves. It might still be a bit disorganized but it's an organized mess to me :)

Genre and aesthetic. I keep my sff series together and have separate shelfs for thrillers, non-fiction, classics and poetry. Everything that doesn't fit there, I've sorted by color.

All bookshelves are pretty I think, and it's best for you to actually love your bookshelves and find your books easily than just organizing them so they look pretty haha. Good work there anyway !!

I have one tiny shelf for books I've read and one slightly bigger shelf for TBR books. It's why I mostly read ebooks, I don't have the space to keep books! I like how your bookshelves turned out at the end :)

I love that I'm not the only one that's so particular about how my bookshelves are arranged. The moments where you stare at the books and then move them from the shelf you just placed them on is the story of my life lol.

I like it, for me mix is good, I go by classic, author with all his/hers books, vampire or angels (have lots), fantasy, romance , TBR, manga/comic books, dystopian, Greek mythology , and then a mixed of mental illness

I need more bookcases! However, my bf says that if I buy another bookcase, I’ll just be inclined to buy more books, and fill it up right away. Hahah, he knows me too well. 😩😏

I just recently watched one of your videos (I think it was a haul?) where you mentioned that you weren’t going to get a third shelf and then you post this with a new shelf hahah I love it! Definitely wish I had more shelves for my books and maybe an empty one for new books!

BookswithEmilyFox Oh I don’t blame you! But then again, you can never have too many shelves, right? Btw, I’m currently almost half way through the first Mistborn book per your recommendation (we have very similar reading tastes). Definitely liking it a lot so far!

Just wondering, is there a reason you put your series in order from right to left instead of left to right? When I have my series together I do left to right since it’s the way we read across a page

Well there are 2 reasons... 1 I haven't found an used copy of it yet! 2. I'm not rushing to read the series because I don't like waiting for the next book! Since it's two series of 5 books I'll probably read them once the fourth one comes out!

I need to organize my shelves too! I do the same thing! Part is pretty and part is my favorites and the rest just makes sense to me but probably has no rhythm or reason lol. I got rid of more than half my books because we were supposed to move across the country this summer but since that's been put off for at least a year and BookTube has come into my life, I think I have as many as I started with 😳

How do u take care of ur books? Mine get dusty easily....i clean them but they just start looking old and used do u have any tips??

My experience is that if you have your books close to a window at any length of time they will start to yellow and look old really quickly. They will also get dusty as dirt/particles get blown in through the window when it is open (hence why the windosill is always dirty)

Si tu le permet, je t'écris en Français. Je suis du Québec :) J'ai découvert cette chaÎne il y a quelques jours seulement et je te suis sur ta châine beauté (pas assez régulièrement). Tu es tellement belle et naturelle. Je commence moi-même dans les livres et je viens d'emménager dans mon nouvel appartement. Mes deux bibliothèques Billy doivent être montées et mes livres mis dedans (pas assez pour les remplir pour l'instant). J'ai hâte d'être plus dans le monde des livres :) :)

Oh my gosh, you are so beautiful and feminine. I think you mentioned a couple of times before that you have french roots/are from France (not sure), damn those french genes are something... Also, where are you buying your books from? I mean some books that I know and have seen both the U.S. and U.K. covers of surprise me because I've never before seen their covers . Thanks! I'm French Canadian :) It's a mix - my library has some great sales, book outlet, book depository or chapters indigo!
