Ipinaliwanag ni 6th District Manila Rep. Benny Abante ang kaniyang pagtutol sa House Bill No. 9349 o ang panukalang absolute divorce sa bansa.
"We do not want this divorce bill be a tool that some people would take advantage of this... Malaki po itong kalokohan 'pag 'yung mga iresponsableng mga kakalakihan o kababaihan ay gagawing kasangkapan itong divorce bill na ito upang paghiwalayin ang mga mag-asawa," ayon sa mambabatas.
Pangamba pa ni Abante, baka dumating ang panahong pagsisisihan ng Kongreso ang pagpasa sa panukalang ito. #News5

There are women suffering with domestic violence this is why I will support divorce bill. If we clearly state in the provision of this bill that divorce bill should not be used by irresponsible men and women.

Para sa mga tutol at Mr.Rechard Gomez kayo na mga tumutol nauunawaan ko din naman ang dahilan nyo.pero sana mas unawain nyo ang buhay ng karamihang nagiging miserable dahil sa paghihiwalay na d kaya ang bayad sa anullment. Papabor ako sainyong mga tumutotol na Huwag isabatas ang Divorce kung magpapasa kayo ng batas na lahat ng nagsasama ng d kasal lalo na sa mga mag asawang nagsipag hiwalay na at nakikisama sa iba meaning kabit o nagkakarabit- kabitan dahil sa d kaya ang anullment . Kayo mismo ang mag sasampa ng kaso laban sa kanila. Dahil db may batas na kung walang magreklamo walang kaso " pwes kayo na mismo amg magkaso.. dahil sa pilipinas karamihan kapag naghihiwalay at d na talaga nagkabalikan nagsisispagkuha ng partner meaning kabit "nagkakarabitan nalang. Wala nalang nagsasampa ng kaso..kabilaan.. basta may sustinto nalang ang mga anak ok na sa kanila.. Ngayon ang tanong : ganyan ba ang gusto nyong mangyari nalang sa mga pilipino ? Sa halip na mas maisaayos nila ang mga buhay nila sa pag sasama man maging sa mga dokumento. Ang tao o mag asawa kung may takot at pag ibig sa DIYOS at sa isat'-isa at sa mga anak . Kahit may DIVORCE hindi yan basta maghihiwalay . Kayong mga tumututol. Mga BULAG at BINGI ba kayo? D nyo ba nakikita ang nangyayari sa buong pilipinas? Kaloka kayo

It's not breaking marriages.... Because if the marriage is fine why need divorce... Wag nyong isipin ang pansarili n'yong opinion . Look at the ground how many women been suffering violence... They said broken family would make the children traumatized. That's a big wrong ! But children who watch their parents fighting each other everyday would make them traumatized more cause they think violence and disrespect is okay .

Whether it is annulment or absolute divorce, would not violate the sanctity of marriage as per Constitution, because for sure the law would privide stringent requirements for the grant of the divorce, magda an sa butas ng karayom, the problem of some people is that by mere looking at the title of the bill.....legalizing divorce....they go into high tantrum....do you know that absolute divorce is in fact practiced already here...de facto divorce ..matagal ng magkahiwalay, ang mga anak nandoon na sa mga lola.. the law is necessary to settle property rights, ergo, it does not concern the poor.

Women need a way out from abusive or philandering husbands, domestic violence, husbands who are gamblers, womanizers, drug addicts, molesters, criminals or irresponsible husbands unable to provide for their families. or any man unable to fulfill his responsibilities or unable to satisfy his wife. Divorce sets out legal obligations for both parties and enforces it, including visitation rights, and alimony that forces the man to become financially responsible. This is for the kids. Also, the divorce awards or splits the properties, assets, investments or bank accounts of the husband to his wife, a huge deterrence for men who abuse their wives. Women deserves a fresh start! She will be able to find the right man that can make her happy and take care of the kids. This divorce is a huge victory for young women and girls like me!

The Bible permits divorce when both parties consent to it. Ang bawal is yung ididivorce mo for someone else. So if it is against your faith, sadly even your faith allows it.
