We can’t always assume this, During this time period people of color were segregated even in the army.🧐The way mainstream media or movies that talk about D-Day over the years rarely have shown any images of African Americans,Native Americans,Latino Americans etc… on how they too have served this nation during WWII, it’s always been a side note if they talk about it at all. So unfortunately segments like this in 2024 still have to show be if not some people won’t know their contribution.😔

As a great grandmother of a mixed race family skin color is no different like eye color, hair color, which is none. I doubt race wouldn’t matter on the battle field. The heart has eyes the brain knows nothing of.

Black troops fought in the 1st and 29th infantry division as combat soldiers on the beaches of Normandy. For years it has been denied Black troops participated in the invasion. It was a collective effort from all races and creeds. As a veteran I salute all who sacrificed their lives on that fateful day. 🫡👍👏💪

@@BillBarr4President Even if they weren't outright denying it, which definitely happened earlier, they were still teaching that there was "no evidence" of any black combat troops at D-Day up until the late 90s (First hand knowledge on that one). Even though the Army was well aware of the 320th BBB and France was inviting the surviving soldiers as VIP guests of the state. It's one of those things. Most people with knowledge probably didn't know or didn't care that certain people weren't getting credit. You just need a few D-Bags to deny or dismiss something, with just enough standing, and it's too murky to put into a history book. 😁Just think how easy it is to lie even now, and we have almost all of the worlds knowledge in the palm of our hands.

Through out the years it was an attempt to deny that black troops participated in the invasion on the beaches of Normandy. 2000 black troops with the 1st and 29th infantry division hit the beaches alongside thier comrades in arms. As a veteran I salute all of them no matter what race or Creed who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Denying the truth does not change the facts! ALL BLOOD RUNS RED! 🫡👍👏💪

There was a black unit in Italy which had advanced so far into enemy territory before giving their scheduled report that nobody believed they’d done it, so they didn’t send any help. The Germans evacuated, and the area was unoccupied until the Americans returned to base and gave their reports in person, eventually convincing the U.S. command that the enemy might really have fled. The delay could have given the germans extra time to set up new defenses, since attacking an enemy while they are withdrawing is often considered optimal.
