The US sanctions forced China to develop its domestic supply chain. When self-sufficient, China can provide the world with more affordable chips. The US is converting its biggest chip customer to be its biggest competitor. The US and its allies are developing their own supply chain, but it cannot be competitive without access to a large market. The US is sparing no effort in its Tonya Harding competition strategy.
