On Friday, March 29, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) joined Rachel Maddow to talk about Attorney General William Barr going beyond what the Special Counsel regulations call for by imposing himself on the release of Robert Mueller's report.

I love to listen to this man speak. Complete sentences with reason, logical conclusions with a rational non-judgmental approach. Spells out the facts and overlays it with detail analysis based on solid evidence and experience. Even when he's a bit heated he has it together. Our Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution with several key principles; Governing was for and by The People. For protection of the new Republic, they divided power between three coequal branches. Lastly and most importantly given what Barr is quite probably doing yet again, they adamantly opposed having a tyrant king. That’s why we had the Revolutionary War. The President was specifically relegated to be some kind of coequal chief representative leader of the Republic. Not an all powerful entity who cannot obstruct because he IS the Law. The unitary Executive argument Barr and some conservatives support is deeply flawed. Funny how when we had President Obama, they didn’t hold such views. If the President is above the Law because he’s at the top, then County Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police can dictate what to investigate and obstruct any investigations they don’t like too.
You see Muller is liked by many and literally everybody wanted this to be true but now that it is confirmed false and they are going to release the report people start crying even more saying everybody is conspiring against them and that this waste of money know as the muller investigation was somehow attacked and obstructed. Help me here, if regulation for Special Council say AG is to notify Congress when the report is done and notify the court to release the court cases and then give 2 copies to Congress, why is he getting away with the way he is handling the Mueller Report. Just an average person not really paying attention.

Thank you Ms. @Mme M-H this overall Trump treason scandal truly is confusing, requiring us ordinary citizens to possess a level of legal expertise that would be unnecessary, in a normal America where our elected representatives rose to the occasion and acted with the exemplary integrity of Mr. Schiff. But the reality we have sadly learned is that the loyalties of many representatives are instead those of mere political hacks, whose values and principles are directed toward far less noble goals. I feel the root cause of that overwhelming corruption, which wonderful Rep. Schiff is persevering so hard against, comes from the fact many voters are undiscerning. I think our job as citizens is to try to make our nearest neighbors a little better informed, which in turn is a very difficult task all to itself, requiring unending patience and peacefulness. But our efforts are made far easier by the fact Mr. Schiff is often interviewed and always speaks in a way that is calm, sensible and well reasoned. And therefore we know better how to speak diplomatically with our nearby friends when the occasion arises

@Ivan Shivolski The vacuous Trump supporters don't understand how the criminal justice system works. The Mueller report doesn't clear Mr. Trump of either crime. Let me explain, if a person kills someone on 5th avenue and the prosecutor can't present enough evidence to convict the person, does that mean he didn't commit the crime? Of course not, so just because Mueller didn't find enough evidence to convicted Trump, it doesn't give William Barr the right to say he's innocent.
My words within this immediate space are just a thank you note addressed to Ms. @Sicklady I'm motivated to speak by the fact it is exceedingly rare when someone says i had sounded as-if sensible, since my usual writing style is so hopelessly mathematical. And likewise here i go again, but it won't be too painful, i'm not proud of my words due to being a slow reader in a fast talking world, and i will speak only about the basic idea of the Serenity Prayer. The notion that each person has a certain area of specialization, and we serve God best by staying within our own lane... this is a notion which is stated most plain-and-clearcut at 1st Corinth 7;17, but it also appears in many other places within the ten authentic St.Paul letters. At the moment, many of us who specialize in secular matters located far distant from politics... we are experiencing a detour away from the other journeys which we were apparently supposed to be working on. Instead, due to the unprecedented treason of the Trump apparatus, it's like there is a house fire within the village, so we have to set aside our ordinary tasks, in order to all pitch in together on fixing the sudden immediate crisis. Within my earlier note, i had proposed the notion that we re-direct the horizon of our words a little, and focus on just a few long time acquaintances, in hopes of shifting their voting loyalties away from shallow con artists like Trump (or pedophile Roy Moore here in Alabama). I'm here to report that i have in fact actually tried that, for several years now, with a small morning senior discount coffee group at a local McDonalds, six days a week. But it turns out that forward progress via that noble sounding approach is actually very slow, and i did not sufficiently emphasize that futility. Thus in the interests of quality control i need to belabor that point for just a moment. That notion of persuading a few folks out in the brick-and-mortar real world is a very costly brand of futility, since it requires bottomless investment into diplomacy and patience. In general it seems as if (1st of two) the views which folks hold are deeply entrenched, and also (2nd of two) they are quick to retreat into indignation and anger. Many of them are devoted Fox News viewers, which accounts for that first phenomenon, their hesitance to look at things differently. But it is important to notice that.... their addiction to Fox News also fully accounts for that second phenomenon as well, their tendency to be quick to rage, in fact that siege mentality rage is probably the foremost allure of Fox News. That one-two combination is a very difficult wall to break through, the Fox News viewers truly have hardened hearts. In closing, i have described a symptom, but i do not have enough talent to suggest the corresponding cure, other than (like the Serenity Prayer) to try to discern the narrow path where a person does have some strength. And for that purpose in turn, the notion of staying within one's lane, Rep. Schiff is a fabulous role model. Currently we see him a lot being interviewed by news experts, but it's easy to tell that in his real life he's uncomfortable to be in front of the camera, and really just a modest quiet library rat who does his homework and then some, before he ever opens his mouth. Life seems to occur in seasons, and i surely hope this present season of extreme White House lawlessness will pass soon, in order that we all can get back to our own separate quiet lives. Until then think it is great that he has so many visibly devoted supporters, very many of whom are not R's -vs- D's but instead middle of the road independents. Impartial with no bias at all except a hope the larger Free World will somehow survive the ultra-powerful malignant ongoing physics of Trump and Putin blatantly giving each other favors, due to the quite realistic hope of receiving even more reciprocal gifts back

Because the special counsel left it to the Attorney General who is the chief prosecutor of the United States. He made the determination based on the facts. Get over it
I think it's dangerous musing what Mueller must have meant when he did this or that. If Mueller wanted to speak out, then he would. Until then, we don't know what the hell he was or is thinking. I know that he's working with Barr on redactions, according to the Barr letter.
