Repacks basically act as competition to the unchecked monopolies that Topps and Panini have. Can’t compete directly with the actual manufacturing of the cards but you can give a similar experience for a better price. If box prices ever come back down to earth, repacks will lose a lot of their appeal.

Most repacks are a scam. The ceiling is often way overestimated.
