There’s no shame in that! 😃 I’m a teen too and I go thrift shopping for the sole purpose of finding dolls (I only buy thrifted cause new ones are too meh). I tell my mom that I’ve bought them to customize and do commissions on (that part isn’t a lie, but it’s very helpful in justifying my doll purchases).

I like lps and I’m 11 so no need to be ashamed

I still played with my barbies well into my teens, and I never even kept my favorite one when I felt pressured to get rid of them. Wish I still kept a few. Theres no shame in collecting them tho or appreciating them. Dollightful really got me interested in MH dolls, I used to think they were soooooo ugly, especially with the arched back but now they look so cool to me 👏👏

My main career pursuit is in game concept art and illustration, but I can't help but notice that this "hobby" is becoming a big part of my life. I used to own a shop, but now I just do it for fun! MsMusacLuver my big sister is lucky, her daughter treats her dolls like their real people. In her closet she has a 'room' for every doll she owns (it's really just every one of her shelves customized to the doll, with beds, and desserts with their clothes in them) and she washes, dries, and dresses her dolls every morning and night, not rough though my sis taught her how to gently wash them so the don't get ruined, so my big sis doesn't mind customizing my nieces dolls with face ups or custom outfits, especially when my niece helps by coming up with a concept for the doll. Personally I just like watching my sister make her dolls, it's so interesting. One day when I'm a bit older so I don't accidentally ruin it, my sister said she be happy to make one for me. I'm always coming up for ideas for my doll. Sorry for putting all this info that was probably just useless but I don't know I just wanted to post. Again really sorry, I'll go rot in a corner now ;-; ,bye.
