⁠​⁠@@seemaabit’s all about depth, those scratches might have mostly scratched the clear coat. Scratches to the uninitiated are deceiving as they’re always white regardless of whether the scratched has reached the paint. In a lot of cases you’re simply sanding and polishing the clear coat. But to answer your question you can do as seen in the video and then use a spray can clear coat on top, then polish if you’d like. I’d likely apply clear coat to the entire wing mirror casing or panel in that case for the best finish. As you’ll see from his videos, it’s just not always necessary for a good enough repair.

@@johnzenkin1344 I haven't actually started it yet as we're moving house and I've been too busy, plus the weather has been so poor I'm waiting for a bit of warmth as I'll just have to put the front of the car inside the garage door.
